Twitter: ESPN: Ryan Clark apologizes to the Dallas Cowboys

Just ESPN?....heck it has been that way on here all year long also.

Wonder who all picked only 7 total wins, or less for us at this point.
It is all the networks. Fox opens every talk show talking about the Cowboys. Cowherd has a Dak sucks segment once a week. Last week, the NFL network idiots have Minnesota beat us at every position except Pass rushers and one of the fools disagreed with that.

Kudos to Ryan Clark for manning up and owning he was wrong. Where are the apologies from the rest of his BSPN buddies? <crickets>

Let's string 4-5 games in a row before going overboard. Great game lets roll it back now!

To be honest I'd kinda like this team to drop one every 3-4 weeks just so they DON'T get too full of themselves and the media doesn't start nut riding them too hard. This bunch has yet to show the maturity to handle being the big dog.. so I want them to stay doubted and the underdog right up until they hoist the Lombardi. If they win the next 4 games and then molly whop Philly like we think they should the entire mediot universe will move to Dallas and keep telling them how great they are.. right up until they lay an egg in the playoffs. No thank you.. Win the next three, lose one, then win the next three and head into the playoffs with some doubt and question marks. That's exactly where I want them to be.

Seriously for the all the ratings boost these networks garner from the Cowboys they should be paying Jerry Jones royalties. Can yall imagine the money Jerry would be able to mint if he was able to launch "The Dallas Cowboys Network" and tell the league where to stick it? Jerry would pass Elon Mush and Jeff Bezos in net worth within 5 years.

Jerry is not the idiot most on this board thinks. He is a financial genius. It’s funny that he actually putting pressure on OBJ to take a cheap deal to sign in Dallas by putting it out there that we want him in Dallas. Jerry knows the Cowboys are what makes the sports world go, not just football.

it just goes to show you how nobody can predict nfl football. I love when they say,... its gonna be a close game, but Chiefs will score late. score 31-30.

I mean, cmon. We all could do exactly what they do. The NFL is a mess each week. Lions kicked the Giants arse this week. Week before, Washington beats Iggles.... just another week in the NFL.

More importantly.... look around the TV landscape. JG, Irvin, Moose, Aikman, Romo, Irvin...........Id guess Irvin, Aikman and Romo are three of the highest paid personalities on tv. Being a former Cowboy is why.

Id sell that so hard to OBJ. That his brand will grow by leaps and bounds f he helps the boys win a SB.

What nobody talks about that if you are a Cowboy, Jerry has you and you are set for life. Especially if you stay in the area. Quincy Carter says hi.

Speaking of Moose.. I think Fox did him dirty in promoting Olson over him. Moose is so much more knowledgeable about the game and his delivery is a lot less goofball. But I guess Romo has made goofball fashionable nowadays. But some of the cliches Olson trots out are really starting to grate on me. Like someone pointed out his "if not for ___ that would have been a touchdown" is really worn out. Duh, if all the defenders fall down it would have been a touchdown. Sheer genius. But I guess Olson is younger and cuter than Moose?

And Jerry is not telling the coaching staff who to play and how much either. I agree he should not be the person that tells the media. But we all know how that goes. But it makes many fans' day to believe that and whine about it.
It is entertaining at times.

I still hear to this day from some fans...when Dallas loses...I used to like them until Jerry fired Tom....but when they win I hear nothing.

Now it has shifted some, as I have a friend, hates Cowboys, and Jerry and Dak, and everything else. But he talk highly of Jimmy, as if he liked the Cowboys, until Jimmy was gone.
I didn't know him during the SB's in the 90's. Then he turns around and says he never liked them.

Frankly Jerry SHOULD be beholden to Carter.. cause they did him wrong cutting him when he had his substance issues. Everybody knows that's the worst thing you can do to an addict. They should have suspended him, and gotten into a program where he could get the help he needed. Maybe he never gets back on the field, but maybe his life goes a lot better for him. As it was dude hit some serious bottom before he finally made it out. And I don't think it was necessary. But yeah, I'm sure Jerry has taken care of more than his share of guys like Q over the years.

What can he say?

Was he going to argue against video proof and one hundred million witnesses who watched the game?

Yeah, he was wrong and he was simply stating the obvious.

Who was he really apologizing to, the team, the fans, or the gamblers?

he didn't have to say anything. it's an apology and accountability for his prediction lol.

ehh... not jerry or the leagues responsibility. sure it would have been awesome had he done what you suggest, but doesn't make him beholden to him for not doing it. that's silly

and if they lose Thursday will you laugh at them?
Of course he will. As he should.

If there is one thing this team is known for, it's their inconsistency. Great one week. Trash the next. To do anything they have to figure out how to play at a consistently high level every week, including the playoffs. So far, there is no history of doing so

Do you find it ironic that since that Carter debacle Jerry and the league have worked to alter their policy on guys with substance issue to be exactly what I suggested? How do you think they were able to keep Randy Gregory around? Or any of the other 2-3 dozen guys who floated through Jerry's halfway house over the past two decades? Jerry, and the league, figured out that they were doing it wrong and tried to correct themselves. That Jerry has reached down and helped Carter out several times over the years tells me that he agrees.. He probably saved that man's life.

you'll have to provide more evidence, but jerry looked out for randy because it was directly beneficial. it was also weed and not coke. and jerry reaching out to help quincy doesn't mean he was beholden, or that he agrees he was beholden, just that he cares. at the end of the day personal accountability is still necessary. i've already agreed that it's great to do, but not requisite by any means. i'm also not grandstanding. when my wife passed away, i fell into deep depression and destructive alcoholism and was summarily kicked to the curb by my employer and i don't hold any ill will towards them because it was my own doing.

They should.

New York, Indianapolis, Houston then @ Jacksonville. No reason they don’t dominate all of those. They should be 11-3 heading to 3 tough battles
