ESPN Schmaltz machine in full swing...

At least we don't have to hear about a Brett Favre miraculous performance. Of course they won't make a big deal of his 5 interception performance today.

The Pats clearly are not the same team without Weis and Crennel.

Bills are down 21-16, but they still have 5 minutes to get it done.

Go Bills!

I agree that it's a bit overkill.

Now please go to bed and dream of class.

Dude, the guy had a stroke less than a year ago and is back out there playing for his team!! Get off your high horse and give him some props. Its amazing to me as well that a guy can overcome that kind of "injury" and get back on the field! Plus they werent going on all about Ted it was also about Robert Craft and how he doesnt need a liability thing from Bruschi cuz of his character.....get off it and show some respect. That dude's been through a lot and he deserves some credit!! Wheres your heart.........

I stopped after Bruschi, escorted by Jesus, made 3 TDs in the first 3 mins. This is pathetic. I will not watch SNF during games with the Pats, Packers, Falcons, and Ravens. I just cannot take it. They drop to their knees soo quickly.

Uh-Oh said:
Not all strokes are the same.

I would have to agree with this. My grandmother died of a sequence of strokes that took her from a vital woman to a vegetable in a matter of weeks. The last person she ever recognized before she died was my brother (A member of this board, btw, though I forget his login handle).

In any event, those who poopoo strokes have never really suffered from one, and are insulting to those of us who have.

David.

i didn't think they could call offensive pass interference before the ball was thrown.. i was under the assumption that interference can only happen after the ball's been thrown

For this guy, I think we can make an exception that he is a good guy and deserves the accolades. However, I don't agree that he should have come back. The announcer keeps mentionig that Bruschi and his wife looked for a doctor to say something negative, but everything was positive. How about the one cardiologist who they mentioned that stated that everyone he had put a plug in, had never played professional football? That is a negative. You can't compare day-to-day activities with playing professional football. If someone hits him right in the chest, no one knows what could happen. You can assume and hope, but nothing is proven. Like someone else says, he has his rings, its not worth going back to play football in this case especially with him having a family and everything. Just my opinion though and I hope he does well and stays healthy.
