News: ESPN Sources: Giants are hiring former Chiefs OC Matt Nagy as their OC

It’s not a step back but it doesn’t move them forward

Im good with this move
It's not a step back from where they were, but that's because they sucked.

For me, it is a step in the wrong direction considering the recent HC and DC hires.

Harbaugh wanted Moncken, who got a head coaching job he probably didn't deserve.

Harbaugh's strength has not been on the offensive side of the ball. He coached ST's and then DB with the Birds, with Reid giving him the DB responsibility precisely to help him in any future HC consideration.

I doubt that Giants' fans will be at all excited about this pick. The word 'uninspired' comes to mind.

I think he will be good for Dart. He will reign in some of his unnecessary off script recklessness.

Harbaugh will also be good for him as well. Both the HC and OC have coached superstar QBs with unreal off script ability and aided in reigning in their impulsive natures while still letting them be themselves.

Jackson Dart is a poor man’s version of young Lamar. I am surprised they didn’t bring in the fired Chargers coordinator. He would have developed Dart and the running backs.

Roman is not even a good coordinator since Chargers only scored 3 points in the playoffs and that is why Roman got fired

Dude is already 47 years old and has tons of coaching experience......lol at the Giants for not going with younger inexperienced coaches.

We got this

Someone already called it, an uninspiring OC hire.

I think Harbaugh's primary guy Moncken getting the Cleveland gig revealed a lack of backup plan Harbaugh did not have in regards to his network of OC buddies. Almost as if he had to settle.

So for me, this is a still TBD choice imo.

Franchise QBs can make lesser coaches appear better than they are.
We'll hafta see if Dart possesses that type of talent.

Not in my opinion dude you're way off on the comp Not because of the obvious differences but I mean if anything Jackson Dart reminds me of Tannehill.. But if you want to go to a very young Josh Allen and maybe that's why deBoll was pretty good for him Both him and joe Brady were both part of the Bills with a young Allen up and coming could run could throw a little bit but needed some work..

But he is nowhere near not even college lamar Jackson that dude was insane his running style is closer to Vick, I think the closest runner I remembered wasn't as good a passer but Colin Kaepernick he had that same running style just smooth long striding but can make you just miss at any point Maybe three times in one run can make dudes just look silly.

That is not Dart, dart is more like a Steve Young type, not Steve Young, but if he ever was going to peak and become something close, that is why I picked Josh Allen...

So Nagy is? At least Roman called plays for playoff teams. Nagy has done nothing but lead meetings.

So this guy got fired in KC because he couldn't make it work with a generational QB like Mahomes, but some fans are worried he's calling plays for the Giants now?

Maybe this will work out for Dart but my initial reaction is not impressed.
