I was at the SD game when they tried it, if it's anything like that it will bomb, bomb, bomb.

The biggest cheer of that game, besides the hand sign of Ware, was when they quit the 3D crap.

As mush as some of you guys don't want to believe it. It is the way of the future. I know 3D isnt all that great now but give it time... When HD first came out at 480i people looked at it and said HD was a waste of money, but now that most is broadcast in 1080i everyone loves it... Have you gone back and watched games in regular definition? It is Horrible... I think in 5 years we will be saying the same... That a game thats not in 3D is almost not worth watching.

Good point. Hopefully they can figure out how to do it soon. I heard all about how Avatar was going to change everything, then I went to see it and I was like "OK...in 3d everything is kind of round? big whoop..." Hopefully when they start broadcasting sports in that manner it has more of a dramatic effect.

Well, yes. But I'm sure companies will be making stylish glasses to go along with this new 3-D trend

You guys might want to research the new 3D tech that is coming out for Blue-Ray and TV's before you start assuming things.

Just saying. It is fantastic technology, you just dont have the TV yet to view it.

I'll pass. 3D technology sucks. Until it projects into my livingroom "Star Wars Chess" style, I don't think it will ever be a success. 3D is a fad. It was a short term fad in each decade for the past half century, and it is again a fad today.

Well, if that happens then you have permission to tell me "I told you so".
I don't see it happening.

My first 3D movie was The Wax Museum with Vincent Price. It has not gotten much better since then. Also HD was never broadcast in 480i. The majority of it is broadcast in 720P. FOX is the only group using 1080i. CBS and Espn use 720P cameras.

:hammer:

480i is the resolution of the defunct NTSC broadcasts.
