HD 3D technology is amazing. I attended a demo Panasonic did here in DC about a month ago and it was unbelievable. That 5 minutes would've made you think every man in there was at the strip club with all the ooohs and ahhhhs. They had footage from the Olympics, nature & a ton of other stuff. Unreal I tell ya!!! I woud jump at the chance to see a sporting event in HD 3D

3D is the biggest and most ridiculous gimmick I've seen in movies and television since they tried it last time with blue/red glasses.

I saw Avatar in 3D and hated it, not for the movie, which I thought was awesome, but because the colors were washed out and parts of the show that shouldn't have been blurry were in fact blurred.

That's part of the effect. When you're looking at something in a 3-dimensional view, objecs in the background will be blurred. Just like in real life. When you focus your attention on something close, things you aren't focusing on will become blurred.

They have been trying to push this 3D crap since the 50s and every time they bring it out again, they always say "but this is better" and it never is. I wish they would quit wasting money and resources on that crap and instead work on getting EVERY program/channel in HD instead.

Do you really believe it will never break through? I mean, Sony and LG are coming out with 3-D tv's in a couple months. ESPN, Dicovery Channel and a few other big names are going going 3-D this year as well. And you best believe people will be shelling out the cash to see their favorite shows/movies in whole new way. I know I will.

The problem with this 3D jive are the stupid glasses. They are uncomfortable and would be a total pain to wear through an entire game. I like to surf the web while I am watching a game or grab a beer or talk to friends. I don't want to have to be taking the flippin glasses off everytime I want to look away from the tv.

As mush as some of you guys don't want to believe it. It is the way of the future. I know 3D isnt all that great now but give it time... When HD first came out at 480i people looked at it and said HD was a waste of money, but now that most is broadcast in 1080i everyone loves it... Have you gone back and watched games in regular definition? It is Horrible... I think in 5 years we will be saying the same... That a game thats not in 3D is almost not worth watching.

I agree with you, it may not look great now but give it some time

Here's your solution. Dwayne Wayne was so ahead of his time. :D

I saw Avatar in 3D and was impressed. I'm thinking that the "Adult" film industry may give it a whirl. ;)

The visuals were the only amazing thing about the movie. The acting, plot, dialogue were only o.k.
