ESPN: Week 2 Power Rankings

I think it's time for theo to admit that he was wrong

again

btw, who does Owen Schmitt start for?
Wrong about what? That Chris Johnson would get more yardage than Ray Rice in Week 1? If I ever said that, I was wrong.

This isnt much of a surpise. Of the Big 4(Colts, Cowboys, Chargers, Patsies.....5 if you count the Jags), the Patriots are the only other team with a W and in reality, they lost worse than anybody, while the Boys made a supposed playoff team look foolish in their own dog pound.

sucks to be ranked 23rd, while all 3 of your rivals are ranked in the top 8

here's another ranking for you theo

CJ>>>>>Ray Rice ;)

You kidding, that's generous!

you said Ray Rice would be the best back in this class

he'll be lucky to be the 4th best back

Anyone catch the outside the lines cowboys thing today.

It was classic espn rip job with a smile.

They did a piece on jerry bringing in criminals. They include owens in that. Then they go on and on about how jerry is a moron and is a risk taker and how dallas hasnt won a playoff game.

It all culminates with emmit, bob lee, jjt and jeff pearlman talking about the cowboys and how they are all criminals. That was the underlying message, yea Dallas is a good team but they are all criminals.

Emmit and jjt did a very good job to throw it back in lee's face.

Typical espn, put together a skewed lousy piece about how how Jerry and The cowboys are a group of criminals who are media ****** etc etc etc...

all the while using Dallas to exploit their own product next monday. They are sad.

Not one word about the quality of the people on this team. Nothing but pacman this and tank that.

Pretty ridiculous. I expect this every day this week. To get the viewership up espn will run pieces like this all week, ignore facts and then have talking heads commenting about it all week.

I expect all the talking heads to do a little Dallas are all criminals piece this week and then also a slew of fans to go running around saying the same thing.

Pretty funny. ESPN is very good at this and it is sad.

I am so glad I wont be home to watch the pregame, not that I would watch espns pregame anyway but still!!!

Can't say that I ever actually said that. I did say that I thought he might end up with the most career yards of the entire class, though.

I'm sure Titans fans aren't happy about being 12th, one spot behind Jacksonville, considering that they just beat the Jaguars.

Not to mention Panthers fans...

Here SD, you just lost AT HOME to a team missing its best player. Let's rank you #3 and the team that just whipped you #12.

BTW, I believe the last time we were number one in this poll we started 3-0 before stumbling. The year we beat the Commanders in the opener in OT with Aikman to Rocket.
That was '99

And I guess I was proven wrong on Sunday.

it's looking that way

only way Ray Rice ends up having the best career if Chris Johnson suffers a major injury tomorrow, and he can't play anymore

same for Matt Forte

Felix Jones

Jonathan Stewart

and Darren McFadden

I don't remember the last time we ranked #1 on Power Rankings, I just checked 2007, 2006, and 2005. Didn't rank #1 on any...
1999, the week before Irvin's injury.

Chargers at #3 with a loss and Colts get bumped to 8th with their loss:confused:

Philly looked much better than the Giants did!

There was very little difference between the Bucs and the Saints - Saints at #4:confused:

Does one game a career make?

cmon Bob. You're better than this.

I just want theogt to give out propers, he was a huge CJ hater and said alot of **** that didn't make sense

It all made perfect sense. I didn't see much wiggle in him (at all), but I constantly conceded that he has world class speed and good power. I just said that those things alone wouldn't make me draft someone in the 1st round. If he turns out, great. It's just risky to draft someone based on speed alone.

Whats the difference btw Chris Johnson and Willie Parker? Nothing really. Johnson can hit a hole and he has speed, and he can catch. I dont see how thats not first round skill. Teams learned from the mistake they made by not drafting Willie Parker. If you have a pretty good O-line that makes holes for a lightning fast running back you draft him.

How did this thread turn to Chris Johnson anyway.
