From what I've heard....If Butler is active for more than 6 games then the draft choice we gave up to get him (a 5th) is set. If he isn't active....then I tend to believe the draft choice might still be fluid.

I hope that's the reason

Why Cowboys WR Brice Butler can't get on the field

i
Todd Archer, ESPN Staff Writer

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- When the Dallas Cowboys traded for wide receiver Brice Butler earlier this season, they were hoping to find a big-play threat to fill in while Dez Bryant was out with a broken foot.

Butler's first reception for the Cowboys went for 67 yards against the New Orleans Saints, but he suffered a hamstring injury that has largely rendered him ineffective. He caught two passes for 41 yards Oct. 25 against the New York Giants and has not played in a game since after the hamstring strain flared up again.

Butler is now healthy enough to play, but the Cowboys have stuck with Devin Street as the fifth receiver on game day.

The answer is simple: The QB is unable to throw the ball downfield with any consistency. Cassel can have Jerry Rice and Bob Hayes at WR and it would not make any difference.

Street had a crucial hold and a critical turnover but is still playing. Yet more evidence of the lack of accountability for the Cowboys players.
Yep. JG holds nobody accountable for mistakes.

Except for Joe Randle, who got a tongue lashing for scoring a touchdown.

Thats a slap in the face to Ogletree, who actually had a handful of good games here.

New York Giant game in MetLife.....after that.....all I saw was Romo telling him where to line up.

What's the difference? Cassel won't find Butler anymore than he finds any of these other WR. On the rare occasion, Cassel does locate a WR, they drop it. They should probably play Butler, just like they should see what they have in Kellen Moore, but this organization is more reactive than proactive. They still hold ridiculous hope that there is a chance to make the playoffs, meanwhile, they have failed to win 9 times out of 13 this year. Its nonsensical.

He actually won us that game.
Then had a few catches here and there surrounded by a bunch of mistakes.Street is simply terrible and hasn't contributed jack.
