I hope we look back and appreciate his greatness. He's kind of like the Emmitt of the TE position. He's not overly flashy. He runs like he's on stilts. His jukes are worse than my daddy trying to dance. And yet he's always open. Go figure.

And except for an occasional drive-killing penalty, which is what we've come to expect from him, the guy is pretty good.

Greatness. Perfect description. That word can't be used to describe to many players. But it absolutely fits Witt's Cowboys career. I don't think the NFL gives him his proper due.

Witten is the exemplification of a professional football player.

Not only one of my favorite football players ever, but one of my favorite people on this earth.

World class drive, world class passion, world class work ethic, and a world class human being.

Guaranteed Hall of Famer.
