Normally I ignore ESPN and their agendas. I seldom watch it anymore with the NFLN on TV.
But last night called for me to suck it up and watch.
Tom Jackson despises this team. He could be seen as gleeful before the game when he discussed T.O. and the team. His analysis comprised simply, "they ain't done it before, so we can expect more of the same."
Berman mimicks Jackson because he can't actually sound football smart with som many ex-players and coaches in the room. He is a boob. And that Whoooooop is one of the most annoying sounds on T.V. besides Rosie O'Donnell's shrill. Or any speech made by Barbara Steisand.
Keyshawn actually had the audacity to suggest T.O. wants the ball. He railed on him about this.
Does anyone on this august panel at ESPN remember a little book that came out after Keyshawn's rookie season?
"Give me the damn ball."
Hypocrite mixed liberally with jealousy makes a cocktail called KeyJo.
Ditka is an old man that revels in the leather helmet days. I like him and he can say some funny things. But Mike, ole bean, you also traded away an entire draft for Rickey Williams. That pretty much makes anything you say about anyone else being an idiot moot.
Cris Carter has the scariest eyebrows in the business. He also has no ring. He also chimes in with the same one note all the jock sniffers on ESPN do. Haven't won a play-off game since 1996.
To further add insult to injury, the guy he was talking about was on the cusp of taking his place as 2nd all-time in TD's. That came on the fifth play of the Dallas possession when TD rattled off a little 70-something yarder for a Usain Bolt break the tape TD.
Sit down Chris. You are now Mr. Irrelevent.
Steve Young is in the Hall of Fame. He has no business being there since he won a championship on a pass interference play in the NFC Championship game.
He also made a mockery of the game last night with his insipid comments about, "knowing Dallas will get to the play-offs so this game is meaningless."
Nice analysis there, Mr. Hair Club for Morons.
Emmitt Smith, of all people on their telecast now seems to think he has to be the cutting edge journalist and ask those "60 Minute" hard hitting questions.
Emmitt, I'd say there are quite a few "leaders" in the lockeroom including Tony Romo. And lest we forget, your 1991 team went 13-3 and lost to the Lions.
It's called learning to be mentally tough and win the tourneyment.
There is a reason I get my football news from NFLN. Last night reminded me.
