ESPNews says Brad Johnson expected to start *Merge*

Probably the right thing to give Romo another week to heal. Still, there is a part of me that really wants to see Tony given the opportunity to go out there and perform; I think he would do well, despite the circumstances.

I'm not THAT thrilled with BJ himself, but nonetheless, it would be stupid to throw Romo out there to the wolves like that.

With that being said, for 2-3 games, BJ will be FINE. He's a seasoned vet, he knows his role, etc, etc.

OTOH-we could be New England who not only lost Brady for the entire year, but was stuck with a QB(Cassell) who's young and has never taken a snap in college.

I agree if Romo can't go then by all means let him heal and let's take our chances with Johnson.

I meant the haters around my neck of the woods say we will be better off with Johnson because he makes good choices and has a ring to boot. Those stats aren't exactly jaw dropping and suggests the hint that he is prone to turning the ball over.

So I just don't see it myself. If anything I see a mini Bledsoe without the arm. But we should be able to beat the Rams with Johnson and then we can have Romo back for Tampa.

While I've been very critical of Romo in recent weeks, I never went THAT far to say we should give the reigns to BJ.

Just b/c you give constructive criticism to your own players doesn't mean you hate the guy and want him out of here at all.

It's alot like Roy38-he would get so much flack every week for his **** poor pass coverage, but it wasn't until he went down when we realized how MUCH he gives us in run support. And for that matter, SS's strengths aren't even in pass coverage anyways b/c their job is to play near the LOS.

With that being said-BJ should be FINE in the next 2-3 games. I don't think we'll beat the Giants in the Meadowlands(no worry-we play them again in Dec at our house), but I DO like our chances even against the Bucs next week.

Damn... oh well, as long as we win. Game sure as hell won't be as fun to watch, though.

And if we fall behind by a couple scores somehow, I think #9 makes an entrance.

Personally, I'm getting more and more irritated with Jerry making these announcements about who is and who isn't playing.

I understand gamesmanship, I understand he's the GM. But can he at least pretend Wade has some authority around here?

Announcing player status outside the team hotel the night before the game?

Smart move is to start Brad and see how he does in the first Half. And if we have a good lead just keep him in there. Maybe at the end of the game give Tony a few snaps to see how he does.
ahh.....no.

no romo

I wasn't talking about fans. Most fans agree with this because we are playing the Rams.

I misunderstood you then. I really don't see us as having a choice. It's been reported so often by so many it's a pinkie injury, I understand why people expect Romo to play. It's not that favorable of an injury although all 'pinkie' injuries are of the 'throw some dirt on it then tape it up' variety.

It's too risky for him to play IMO. Our season will not be over with a loss although a loss makes it much tougher for us.

Jerry is rapidly turning into the old Jerry. He's like a fox in the hen house. He can't grab one chicken then leave. He has to stay around and get some more even though that may hurt him. Parcells was right to make him stay out of the limelight.

Guess I don't remember it like that. Seems Jerry was still as much in the limelight and Parcells just didn't care. We all just knew then who was in control.

Napolean Bonaparte...the flip side of the single was the same song, played backwards.

:)

I liked the B side much better... it spoke to me...

The not knowing is driving me crazy.... lol........... NOT!

Its smart... dont let the rejuvenated Rams know anything.

Rejuvenated? Seriously? They won that game on emotion. That was a fluke. The Rams will be battling the Lions for the #1 Draft pick.

If we do fine with Romo out, then keep Brad in. If the game gets out of hand early, were down by 14 at half then you put Romo in.
