He went on to say that Jerry actually has more interest in the other ARK RB-Felix Jones, and would gladly take him if he's still on the board at #22.

Said this a few minutes ago.

Two questions...

Did he get this straight from Jerry or what? And if it's right, I'll save you a bunch of time... "And with the 22nd pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Felix Jones." There you go, just wait until the 28th pick to tune in.

LOL.

Its espn. Everything they talk about is based on assumptions and reading other peoples articles and then making assumptions.

Nobody knows what jerry is going to do. Most likely jerry doesnt know what he is going to do until they are on the clock, or maybe earlier if they want to go up.

Listening to national reporters talk about the cowboys is basically pure comedy. The entire team is stereotyped and pigeonholed to be one way and every national reporter sticks to that on every issue.

Like now we are starting to be portrayed as a team full of criminals and malcontents when nothing could be more false.

Its fun. I love listening to the national guys talk their confidence in what they are saying is a riot.

Jerry has been cooling off on McFadden ever since the Browns finished the season with a winning record.

I don't think it took that long Thump.

You can't believe anything you read or hear at this point. Jerry could have cooled based on his scout's evaluations or he could be as hot as ever for McFadden.

There are conflicting reports with some reports like Mike Fisher and Rob Rang saying Jerry wants to trade up. I will say this, if Jerry wants to trade up he knows he has to send out signals that he can live without McFadden or the teams at the top will try and take advantage of him in a trade.

He knew as soon as the Browns won 10 games that he was quite likely out of the DMac race. He'd have to give up too much, to move up too far, in order to get him.

If the reported offer to Barber is true, and he winds up signing it, you can believe that there is NO SHOT that Jerry is moving up into the top 5 to get DMac and then have to pay him very similar, or maybe even more, to play the same position.

yeah, most of the media in Dallas think our first two picks should be on the offensive side of the ball, but the thing is our Offense was one of the top in the league and no one went anywhere on the offensive side of the ball besides Julius.

If Dallas wants Felix Jones I bet you anything they can have him at #28. If you look at the teams between #22-#28 none of them need RB's.

#23-Steelers(Willie Parker)
#24-Tennessee(Lendale White, Chris Henry)
#25-Seattle(Julius Jones, Sean Alexander)
#26-Jacksonville Jaguars(Maurice Jones drew, Fred Taylor)
#27-San Diego Chargers(LaDanian Tomlinson, Darren Sproles)

The only team I see that Dallas would have to worry about is Tennessee, but I feel they have bigger needs at WR, DE and DT

I think people need to start realizing that all this pre-draft media speculation is, well, just that... speculation. We made a promise to Moss, that didn't happen. The entire world thought we'd take Steven Jackson when he fell to us a couple years ago, that didn't happen. People were screaming for Marcus Spears in that first spot, but we took Ware instead and waited out for Spears.

Fact of the matter is this, if a player falls and Jerry and co. see extreme value, we'll take that player. It's as simple as that. If a player that we covet falls into the middle of the 1st round, but we don't think he'll make it to #22, we'll make a move if we can.

I just want this damn thing to be over with. I'm tired of all this draft know-it-alls with their "breaking news" about who is interested in what player. It's all pure BS.

..the more 'poker-faced' Jones is going to get with mis-information and dis-information.

I'll bet he's having many a sleepless night right now.

What I'd give to have a tap into his email account come draft week..hahaaa..

Exactly....where did it come from.

Is this your first April? You might want to consider tuning out NFL talk this time of the year if it isn't your cup of tea. It's basically the only subject of discussion in the sport except for a day or two where people try to analyze the schedule.

So you are telling me that Jerry Jones, the guy who in the days before last year's draft explored the cost of trading up for Calvin Johnson or Adrian Peterson in a year when he had only one first round pick, cooled off on the idea of trading up, (in a year when he has 2 first round picks), way back in January?

I don't buy that.

Jerry may not make the move up but you can bet your last dollar he will explore the cost/benefit of such a move all the way until draft day.
