**** Cancer So sorry to hear that a great and more important a wonderful family man was lost today. So sorry that you had to go through this with your father. I am battling Lymphoma for the second time in my life after 3 years of remission, it is tough but you have to keep fighting!!!.

Damn. Keep up the fight man. Attitude is everything against it.

His speech at the ESPYS was eerily reminiscent of Jimmy V's. Both pillars of strength in the face of the harshest of adversity. Eisen's tribute was heartbreaking. May God comfort his two beautiful daughters and all who loved him.

RIP Stuart. You were true to yourself...and as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Can't stop crying after watching his speech at the ESPYS. Those words were really something.

"When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer," Scott told the audience. "You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live."

Wow, wish I didn't watch the video :(

He was one of my favorite broadcasters.....sports and otherwise. Madden molded me in my early years and SS was in my 20's. RIP Stuart, you left your mark

This really sucks. The man had presents in front of the camera. Spoke with conviction and always seemed full of life. We lost one of the best sport show hosts.

I never liked Stuarts style as a sportscaster but realize my opinion is in the minority. While his style might not have appealed to me I have nothing but respect for someone who can do something their own way and change an entire industry, there are not many people in the world who can put that on their resume.
Bigger than that though I respect the fight. I lost my dad, my grandma and I'm getting ready to lose an aunt to that horrible disease and I hate it with every fiber in me. Stuart fought it to the end and I am sure his family is very proud of not only what he accomplished in his professional life but how he went down fighting.

He'll be missed. He was one of my all time favorites. I loved all his catchphrases, plus he just had a style and presence when he was on camera. The world loses great people all the time. For me, this one stands out a little more.
