He was the innovator of the talking heads you see today. Creator and the master.

Watched him when he started on ESPN. His take on how sports is presented, for better or worse depending on opinion, changed the medium going forward. He was universally lauded as a good father as well and that loss can't be understated, we need as many of those as we can get.

Didn't really want to see this as I woke up this morning.

He did change the way sports were presented forever, and deserves alot more credit for it than some will give him. Some copy his style to different degrees, while others now say things that wouldn't normally be said on a telecast at least partly due to his impact.

RIP my fraternal brother, and may all see your impact on your profession.

Stuart Scott along with Rich Eisen made the 1AM SportsCenter back in the 90s must see television. One of the best to ever do it. From all accounts, an even better man. Feel absolutely terrible for his two daughters. RIP

Loved his style on Sportcenter back in the day. That was when I still watched Sportscenter and ESPN that is. Also enjoyed his commentary about the Tarheels being that he was a grad and from North Carolina as I am.

RIP

During undergrad I had a part time job at UNC. One of the events I worked was the midnight basketball kickoff in which Stuart Scott was the host. Loved his school, and the energy he bought to his job was nothing less than 100% authentic. Was an honor to see him live, r.i.p.

I just watched the most emotional monologue from Rich Eisen regarding the death of his friend on NFL Network. Very moving. RIP Stewart.

As much of a Jack.... as Eisen can be, that was pure emotion and genuine caring.

Man cancer sucks. Guy was fighting a good fight and cancer is simply the worst.
49 is wayyy too young.

I loath ESPN for many things, but love the video feature they have him on their front page and subsequent coverage.
