We've got holes on the offensive line, QB, TE, WR, etc., etc., but we would even consider trading high round draft picks for a safety AND give him a big money deal on top of it?
Earl is a fantastic player. But he's changing nothing about this team this season. Sign him in the offseason if we are that determined to get him on the roster.

We're always going to have 'holes' in the offense with our coaching staff. They need elite players at nearly every position to run a decent offense. We're going to keep going on this carousel year after year about how we need this or that player. I'd rather just get Earl and see how elite this defense can look and give the reigns over to Richard at the conclusion of the season and let him bring in whatever OC he wants.

Seattle safety Earl Thomas, who has been the subject of trade talks between the Seahawks and Cowboys, claims that before today’s game, Cowboys coaches approached him and asked if he was ready to get traded.
Asked if today’s game could have been his last as a Seahawk, Thomas said it’s possible.
