Eve Online?

Just curious if anyone plays EVE Online. I saw a commercial for it recently that got my interest piqued, but honestly, it looks like the most complicated game ever created. Wondering if anyone has any experience learning how to play.

I tried to play it once, but I have such little time that just learning the game seems like way too much work that I would never actually get into playing the game.

It does look interesting but I believe the learning curve is pretty steep.

I played it for about a year when it first came out, then off and on every couple of years for a few months just to see how it has evolved. It does have the most unforgiving learning curve imaginable but if you have the time and patience to put into it it's great, I know people in that game who have been playing for over a decade now. It's to much of a time sink for most people though

Yeah... don't know if I'm mentally prepared for that. The last MMO I played was World of Warcraft years ago, and that's super accessible.

Yes. Been playing for about 8 years. Very good on line.
Although when I first started it was a bit rough going - getting blown up.
They do have a tutorial for you to use now.
Plus when you are in local chat you can ask questions and someone usually answers.
When you join a corp it get's easier. They help you, usually, with knowing what skills to train to do what you like best in the game.
I could go on for about 2 pages. They do have a free sign up for 2 weeks usually.
They give you a rokkie ship and off you go to shoot the Rats or mine ore.
Make ISK = Money and buy things.
I am MANSTERDIGLBF in the game - eve mail me if you join and stay.
I usually play early AM - mining and then at night build things.

Eve is not all Hack and slay. Build and use is more like it. But don't get caught in low sec. You're a target for everyone.
