At the FS position....forget AOA for now..i like him..but he may not be ready

Between Ball or Hamlin...who do you want too see succeed and start?

i like Ball's Attitude, and i hope he can prove too be something special....I'm rooting for him

i hope too hear reports of him knocking/intercepting balls his way

Ball has the advantage on experience and he has proven capable/shown to have the ability to play solid FS. So if he does not win the job, then my fear is that it will say more about what Ball did not do than anything Hamlin did. So from that persepctive, I'm rooting for Ball because him starting should maximize Dallas' talent/ability at FS.

Just get the best guy in there, that's all I ask.

the best player. idc who it is but i want the starter at the beginning of the season to stay the starter. if there is a change mid season(non-injury) that means that we weren't getting good safety play and probably lost a game or two because of it

I don't agree on AOA. I'm holding out hope that he either wins the job in camp or at some point in the season. He's our best athlete at the position with the most upside.

Michael Hamlin.

Ditto.

I think he has the most potential between he and Ball. I like Ball's versatility as a backup at 2 positions as well and would hate to lose that.

But ultimately I pull for the best option, no matter who that ends up being.

Ball is gonna start but I'm rooting for AOA to be something really special by mid to late season...

Isn't Hamlin a SS???

I'm balls-out. Meaning I like Allan Ball. But then I like Hamlin, too, and Sensabaugh. And I've got high hopes for AOA.

My gut tells me though that Ball's going to be a good player for us, so that's what I'm going with. Final answer.

Why in the world would coaches be spreading "smoke" about an unset roster. Of course it's going to be a challenge (a big jump, if you will) for all of the rookies, especially those from Div II.

i've seen enough of Ball, just dont believe he will be anything special. So betwen Hamlin and Ball, I'll go with Hamlin. As a true fan, I hope Ball proves me wrong. Little excited about AOA's potential. Then again, I was excited about Watkins too.

I haven't seen enough of Hamlin to have an opinion on him just yet. I like Ball as a versitile backup and he did well enough as a starter last year. But in truth Ball has not WOWed me with anything he has done. He played as well as K. Hamlin last year but I'm hoping to get better not remain the same. So bottom line I guess I'm rooting for Hamlin (or AOA I don't care which) to give us improvement at the position.

Just wish I could pronounce (or even spell) AOA's name.

I've been pulling for Mike Hamlin since last pre-season. He was a ball-hawk in college and I am hopeful that he can be the same in the NFL. We REALLY need a guy that can make plays and turn the ball over to us. The reason guys like Ed Reed are considered to be great is because they create turnovers and make big plays, that's what we need at Safety.

"The reason guys like Ed Reed are considered to be great is because they create turnovers and make big plays, that's what we need at Safety". TRUE THAT! We've sucked at that for years.
