Not me. I'm an optimist by nature and I chuckle at the bipolar nature of this forum. However, this really was pathetic.

Here's the deal on today's NFL: you need a great organization. We have arguably the most talented team in the NFL and had fought back after a bad start and a whole lot of injuries and controversy to control our own fate and then lay down this December turd.

Every year only a handful of teams win a playoff game and, obviously, only one wins the Superbowl. It takes a particularly well run team to be that team. This is clearly not us.

I still want Romo.

QBs are at a premium. We have a good one.

I'm worried that media hype and fan overreaction might make it impossible for him here.

I fear we'll do something stupid like let him go....then, we'll see him go to another team and win big.

I still want Romo too, but I am not going to stick my head in the sand and pretend he does not have some serious issues to overcome.

If this is what you get when you have Romo, Dallas will never win a championship with him...never. He will have to step up and minimize the mistakes and play better in big games.

So if we assume Romo is going to get better then yeah, if this what you see is what you get then we are going to be some very frustrated fans for years to come.

I am not jumping off the Romo bandwagon, but I am looking for a safe landing spot just in case.

No other way to put it. No heart, no nothing. All the talent in the world and this is a horrible team.

Agreed. And that has to fall on the HC. Wade's alright but there's a very hard ceiling on how great his teams can be.

Cowher.

I don't even know if Cowher is the answer.

I can't help but think that a lot of the things Parcells said while he was here for 3 years are exactly what this team is:

It's a dumb team.
The team has no mental strength.
Tony Romo is is his own worst enemy.
Watkins is going to kill himself tackling people.
You have to ride Flozell Adams to make him play at his best.
and the list goes on . . . .

So did Parcells leave us with a team that will only perform at it's best with a Parcells type coach? I just don't see Parcells in Cowher.

LOL. Where have you been? He blames Jerry for everything. It's in every thread he posts in. 99% of his posts blame Jerry.

Yeah I know.

I thought that he would finally answer the question I asked him several months ago.

Which is, who should Jerry Jones have hired instead of Wade Phillips?

He and other Jerry Jones bashers won't answer the question because they know the pickings for Head Coach were slim.

I don't buy the stupid player/no heart theory. It just doesn't feel right to me. Teams that make a lot of penalties and can't pull off the big games are poorly coached. Period.

I'm not saying that Cowher would definitely turn this around but he seems like the most obvious candidate -- someone who has taken his team to multiple Superbowls and won one, someone who can bring a clean slate on the bad (just about everything) without having to wipe out the good (aggressive 3-4 D).

If they're that dumb, we'll know soon enough under Cowher. I sort of bet he sees this roster, with this many injuries this year and this owner with this much money and is licking his spittle-flecked lips.

Romo needs his "Norv Turner." Jason Garrett is not it. As a matter of fact, the best thing that could happen to this team is if Norv is let go in San Diego and Garrett finds an HC job in the offseason (I don't see how anyone would consider him with the way this offense played this year). But he needs an OC and a QB coach that can steer him better. I think it's no coincidence that Romo has made more boneheaded plays once David Lee left here.

Holmgren is the answer to that question. He doesn't tolerate QBs doing dumb stuff that constantly costs his team a chance to win the ball game.

Does Cowher want control over player personnel and operations? Is Jerry willing to give that up to get him in here?

Personally, I would love to see Jeff Fisher in here. I know it won't happen, but he's one heck of a coach.

That's not entirely out of the question. Jerry Jones has always had a man love for Holmgren. But like Cowher, Holmgren will want total control including personnel and operations.

It's downright embarassing to hear these great Cowboys legends talk about how they wanted to represent this team with pride and then see this joke of a team lay an egg.

Absolutely on Fisher. He may be the best coach in the NFL. I'd take him in a second; I just don't think that would happen.

Hopefully Jerry would give it up for Cowher.

I hate this team.

This one hurts worst than the Commanders game a few years back.

At least they didn't destroy our playoff chances. But who the hell are we kidding, this team would go one and done in the playoffs. No focus. Hell our center and line don't know the snap count half the time, and our receivers never know where to line up.

This coaching staff is not in the same class.Bill took the coaches when he left.I can't believe with all the talent on the offense that Garrett has proven
he should be the coach for this team. The defense has been better under Wade, but with the talent on this team i can't see Red deserved of another year as the coach. We only have interim coaches. We just lack consistency.

I have been a cowboys fan since Tony Dorsette and Robert Newhouse graced the backfield. This current itterration of the "cowboys" has lost the last game they played against the Commanders in Texas stadium and now they have lost the last game they will play in Texas stadium; with the talent to do otherwise..until they have a winning record in december; until they win a playoff game; until they win the SUPERBOWL, my only refrain from now on will be that "THE COWBOYS SUCK"; this current group is not deserving of wearing the star on their helmets. If this is the best effort they can give. 2+ 50 rushing yard touchdowns in the same game!?!?!?the same quarter!?!?!?!THE COWBOYS SUCK!!!!!!!

they should be showering the field with garbage during this ceremony..Because that's what this team is..."THE COWBOYS SUCK!!!!!! :bang2: :(

Don't get me wrong here -- this was pathetic. But it is important to keep in mind we were playing a tough team fighting for its life. Baltimore played well -- I don't think there's any doubt about that. Just because they made some mistakes we didn't capitalize on, they overall played a good game.
