2021 Micah Parsons :flagwave:
2016 Zeke :flagwave:
2012 Morris Claiborne
2011 Tyron Smith :flagwave:
2005 Demarcus Ware :flagwave:
2003 Terence Newman :flagwave:
2002 Roy Williams :flagwave:
1998 Greg Ellis :flagwave:

Not including the Jimmy picks.

Some fizzled out earlier but all were Pro Bowl to HOF type players. 1 in 8 odds they pick a real stinker like Mo Claiborne again. Jerry must have been listening to Jerry Jr. for that pick. Luke Kuechly, Fletcher Cox and Stephon Gilmore all picked right after him. Maybe the Garrett years would have had different endings?

Actually Claiborne was considered the top CB in the draft. I did not like they traded up to get him.
But at the time he was a good pick.
Hindsight proven otherwise. As with all picks.

Jimmy had so many picks, he could not go wrong. But he also lucked into getting Emmitt.

Yeah...at the time, Claiborne was considered a great pick. Just goes to show you that nothing is a guarantee in the NFL.

Yeah the Patrick Peterson clone. I’ve gotta admit I didn’t hate it…and I didn’t like Brockers at all at the time, who was the rumored target.

Shows you what I know.

Feels like a lifetime ago, but that off-season was also the last significant FA signing in Carr, since Rob Ryan wanted better corners. Fired him after that season only to hire Kiffin whose Tampa 2 didn’t really require top corners…..although Brockers being Sapp and Wagner playing Derek Brooks might have looked ok.

They didn’t have a clue then and still don’t.

Claiborne stayed hurt. One of them was career threatening. His knee was jacked by 2015.

Plus Rob Ryan and then Marinelli,

He got the Ring though.

An incredible athlete. But football is brutal.

I think he's the reason Dallas doesn't trade up anymore.

Greg Ellis will always be a bust bc we were supposed to draft Randy Moss
