Everybody hates on Roy, what about A. Henry

Seriously, I know that Roy became a liability in our secondary, but I think that Anthony Henry is now the weak link for us.

I just watched the NFL replay of our loss to the Cardinals.

we were In control of the game 14-7, when suddenly the Cards offense came to life, and guess what? The passes were completed against Henry.

It's not that he was beaten badly, he just didn't make plays when he was in position too. Warner focused on Henrys side of the field on the drive that tied the game (other than a completion against pac-man) and drove methodically down the field for a score.

All I am saying, if we are gonna ride Roy Williams out of town on a rail, You better get a two seater and upgrade Henrys position as well.

Henry was awful in the first half of the season, but really came on strong in the second half.

He's been a pretty solid pickup for the team, unfortunately he gets hurt a lot. I don't think you get rid of a guy like him because if he is moved to safety, then you get a guy who can play some safety and some corner which is pretty valuable.

Again, I agree he looked terrible in that game (and the Rams game and other games), but in the second half of the season he really picked it up and was quite good. Even to my surprise.

I agree. I would like to see Jenkins and Scandrick working in the secondary with Newman and as long as Henry is under contract he provides needed depth.

I agree We need the depth even if scandrick and jenkins play great because with Newmans injuries the last few years we can not take anything for granted.

Now maybe we get another CB in the draft that pays off for us. But for someone already on our roster in Henry, we could use that depth just in case for both CB and FS spots if need be.

Thank you. What I have seen in his play is just as bad as Roy, yet somehow we have hordes of fans deeming him as valuable, even trying to figure a way to keep him through a position change.

Henry is not a good corner. Go back and view most of the games and he was getting beat the majority of the time. He can't cover. He runs like he has a disability. The defense played good without Henry in the lineup..Remember the big win in Washington this year. Henry was out. The young corners played great! Henry is a liability!

Henry was not great last year. After Newman came back we finally figured out that you have to put Newman on the best WR, even if that means moving him around. After that, Henry looked a lot better.

Henry is a decent serviceable corner who is open to playing some FS. He's a solid citizen. That's the kind of vet I want on the team.

I actually, if I had my choice based entirely on just who I'm a bigger fan of, would get rid of Henry in a heartbeat before I got rid of Roy. But I'll admit that I'm a lot easier on Roy than most because I'm a fan of him.

As far as that Arizona game, Henry got picked on because he was on Fitzgerald, that's who they were focused on. Several times (usually on 3rd down) Henry had great position but Fitz made a great catch. That's the downside of playing against a great player, sometimes you can do everything perfectly and they'll still find a way to make a play.

I agree somewhat with your viewpoint. Henry on Fitz is a total mismatch.

The problem I have with him is, what you said, He had great position, yet failed to make the play. Why does he get a pass and Roy gets barbecued?

Henry has done nothing to impress me from day one, yet the prevailing thought seems to be that he is one of those average guys that this team needs desperately.

We have their names are Jenkins and Scandrick that does not change the fact that Henry can still have a role as a backup. Why go out and draft yet another CB to be a backup or overpay in FA for a backup when there are other areas that need to be addressed?
