No sure what fee-fees are, but can you not understand that there is an issue with accountability in incidences like this--a systemic problem that is being repeated--and that past incidents will feed into discontent?

Do you think the shooters in Dallas were guilty (I do), but I don't see you clamoring for their due process.

WOW!!! Oh the stupid!!!! It burns, it burns!! If they are the shooters, yes they're guilty. And yes, they will get due process. They will go through the legal system like they should. Well, except for the thug that is now dead. We can at least be thankful for that.

If you come into this thread to argue about gun control, politics, racial issues or just to be a turd because you disagree with someone else that you think is being a turd...stop, walk away or get benched. This is the third and FINAL warning in this thread.

I do not see any of that here unless some posts have been deleted. There's discussion regarding the shooting incident itself. Isn't that what this thread is about?

can we back up and stop shouting at each other? don't we also see this could be contributing to the frustrations we all feel?

people disagree and all hell breaks loose. makes me want to make a joker meme about people losing their minds over simple things. so we disagree.

it's ok.

let's stop the hate and start to talk. let's stop telling people what to think and ask for clarification on what THEY think.

it's a tough time right now and shouting at friends on things like this is why we keep at it.

hit lunch with a friend and let's relearn how to listen to each other.

you mean calling people so stupid it burns?

no. that's not what this thread, or much of anything, is about.

When your previous post replying to someone else starts off with...WOW!!! Oh the stupid!!!! It burns, it burns!!
Maybe you should walk away and understand what I am talking about with my "turd" line.

STOP if you can not be civilized and argue without resulting in personal attacks, questioning someone's intelligence just because they disagree with you.

If that is what you want...stick to facebook and twitter.

Do you think the shooters in Dallas were guilty (I do), but I don't see you clamoring for their due process.

You have a few incidents, and many of these incidents were controversial (Meaning many on both sides), and officers getting off. SOME, and it is very few, should have faced time. But others the case was murky at best, and they didn't face time or lose their badge for good reason.

See, if the officers get off due to the Alton Sterling incident, many will complain they got a slap on the wrist. I don't see it that way, I saw two police officers doing everything they could to prevent it escalating to using lethal force. But I think there is SOME questionable things in the videos I watched, but a court is not going to convict them on those videos. You, and others, will consider them "getting away with murder" - I am waiting for more evidence on the other, I suspect the man had an itchy trigger finger. But I hold off my final judgement and wait for evidence, because it makes sense. Me making a conclusion due to select past actions is irrational and it does not help debate and it adds fuel to the fire within an already emotional nation.

And you're using a false equivalence here, everything coming out is that it was a peaceful protest. Shots were fired from a rooftop first, so they shot into a crowd of protesters and targeted innocent policemen/women. There is also evidence coming forward that a suspect admitted to this being a hate crime. But there is no evidence, as of now, that they were justified in the shooting (I can't see how there is anything that could come out saying they were)

This is very much the issue in these situations. I understand emotion, but it completely blocks rational discourse. This DOES NOT MEAN you don't try to minimize police brutality as much as possible, you still do. But there is a difference of keeping the problem in realistic terms and attempting to perceive it as an epidemic.

Yal may as well just close it then cause that's basically the 3 things involved in this.

Not sure why no perp names have been released yet, that one guy in the video looked like a pro murdering that one officer. Be interested to see what his background is

Fair enough.

Do you not see the double standard here? Obviously the Dallas situation is fairly cut and dry from the situations nature, but the Sterling case--which was caught on camera--they get the benefit of the doubt?

If you want to stick you head in the sand and pretend there is not a systemic issue with police shootings that is your prerogative, but that is not the way the world works and the situation is Dallas is a disturbingly real reminder of that fact.

Agreed. This is a hot and emotional topic, it might as well be closed.

I guess this is too important for a sports related forum.

i don't think it helps that white people are also shot, killed and abused by horrible examples of officers and yet, nothing ever shows up there. it would be foolish, to me, to think that people DO NOT act on someones race. they can and will. been that way since the dawn of time and i honestly don't see that changing, as bad as it is.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/police-shootings/ - 2015 shootings.

we live in a tense time where everyone is the victim and everyone else to blame. we need to start where we can, with ourselves and let it grow out from there.

Sir, I will disagree with you here. Police brutality is indeed an epidemic and a systemic problem. When you site a 'few' incidents of police officers not being held accountable, then you are obviously not in tune with reality of the situation.

I will leave it at this. When will people learn to obey an LEO's commands and stop trying to argue or fight with them???? It's that simple. It's also the law. If you feel your rights have been violated, take it up in the court system when and where appropriate. If you really think LEOs hit street everyday hoping to shoot/kill someone, you've got issues. You are greatly biased if you think in this manner. Do LEOs make mistakes? Sometimes fatal mistakes? Yes, they do. However, if you believe all LEOs want to kill citizens for ANY reason, I don't know what to tell you.

then again, i don't know what to tell you cause to date, i've not seen anyone in here say ALL are out to kill people.

These guys(and gal) names will be released soon. The guy's in the garage who got blown up by a robot will be released momentarily.

By all, I mean any. No LEO is out to kill somebody just for ****s and giggles.

That is not true. Police are not a separate species. They are murders among their ranks just like the populace at large. Not saying there are many, or this is the case is any specific instance, but it does happen.
