It's not the sack monster that last year's unit was, but it's far better in every other area. I know the competition was the Raiders and they struggle offensively, but:

1) This defense immediately removes what teams like to do best
2) This defense shows an aptitude for possession to possesion adjustments
2) This defense now has emotional and cerebral leaders and play together
3) This defense is getting healthier and has great subpackage schemes
4) This defense gets stronger as the game goes on
5) This defense has much better depth and gets contributions from all

Totally agree, and Jason Garrett whatever he did this week, he needs to keep doing. And if it was something that Jimmy Johnson and Dan Reeves said to Jason, Jerry Jones needs to do it again.

Most sacks in the NFL since 2007. That was one of the biggest reason he was brought in for and at least he delivered on that.

Wade did a great job with the D ssince he got here. Under Parcells we were prone to givng up a lot of big passing plays, to the point where some teams would roll out for their first posession and immediately throw a play action deep pass.

He's never really had control over the offense so we'll neve know about that but the D is certainly much improved.

I'd like to see him do something about all the penalties, get the defense to focus on the first drive of the 2nd half and stop letting teams get out of 1st and 20 or longer, but yeah he is doing a good job.

Huh, no. They were not that great at shutting down offenses. But they were much better at pressuring the passer last year in second half. Points given they were not that great as this year.

Plus they were not consistent as they have been this year. Unless it changes next five games, this D is much better than last year, sans the sacks.
