Wade is good defensive coordinator no question but his teams are often passionless and run vanilla offenses at odd times.

True, but this particular situation can't be laid on Wade. His OC was hand picked for him and he probably doesn't have much authority over him.

I'm having no problem with Wade, this team is doing a good job of competing and I have good feeling about them this year.

Credit to Wade for functioning well under a difficult situation and having a good cohesive team.

There is not enough of a sense of urgency or spirit in this team.
The team lacks discipline and the ability to execute consistently which is a reflection of the headcoach IMO. The team should be winning a game like today 38-7.

I wondered when this would raise its ugly head.

30-13 is nothing to scoff at. You tell me who's gonna walk in here and do a better job than Wade right now. You guys are ridiculous to want to oust someone that clearly has his team playing well.

Well, he's almost certainly gone absent a playoff victory or two, so why should we hold him to a lower standard than his employer does? If regular season wins aren't enough for Jerry (big if), then the rest of us should be no different. There's a reason they play all these games every year, and it's not to get a head start on their Xmas shopping.

Well he's got no offensive control and the defense seems to have plenty of passion, so I guess that takes care of that.

I'm interested to see how he does in December though, should be interesting. We still made plenty of mental errors and failed to convert a lot of third downs in addition to two almost-picks early that better teams may have taken advantage of. The mental errors really have to stop, but at this point it seems almost like it's just part of the identity of the team.

Giving up all those third downs needs to stop as well as the penalties, but he's doing a good job.

Agreed. But the lack of turnovers will cost us.
If Romo is going to have his occasional 2-3 turnover games we need to be able to get 1 or 2 once in a while.

There are only three 3-4 defensive coordinators I'd rather have than Phillips at this point, and I think Phillips is very close to their level: Dick LeBeau, Mike Nolan and Dom Capers.

Good god, Dom Capers? That's absurd.

I have to admit, I have been one of Wade's harshest critics, but he is doing a dam good job with the defense.

As far as the offense goes, Wade has absolutely no control whatsoever on that side of the ball. Garrett runs the entire show and I almost never see Garrett and Wade talking on the sideline.

So I cant lay the blame for any offensive problems at Wade's feet. Wade is here for one single reason, to coach the defense. So in my opinion, Wade is doing his job pretty good right now and I would have to vote to bring him back next year if we continue to play well on defense.

Now if our D gets steamrolled in December and is "one and done" again in the playoffs, then Wade is gone.
