Everyone seems happy

Rush. He at least knows the plays and has mobility and has taken reps with the team for the past 6 months.
Foles is nothing but a glorified clipboard holder now.

Foles is better and I hope they trade for him

I wouldn't. You need experience in a backup QB when you're a contender. Foles has been there and done that. Grier doesn't even know what it's like to win a game in this league.

It's not a bad point, I am curious what it would take to get Foles. It does concern me that he's never been good outside of Philly.

Yes, definitely. He's been a bum everywhere else.

The pickings are slim though.

I don't care who plays quarterback we've got to get him out of the pocket once in a while. I was not a fan of Scott linehan's offense per se, but in 2016 he did move Dak and kept him out of trouble just enough to make the defense honest .
so a RPO or just a flat roll out or boot would be amazing.
The problem being is Moore is his daddy's son and their friends all preach pure pocket quarterback offenses. I know it gives you the whole field yada yada I know but every 4th or 5th pass rolling out would be a wonderful addition to this offense especially in the red zone
We are the #2 scoring offense in the NFL, but I to would like to see Dak roll out a little more, especially against really strong fronts, like Tampa Bay. Maybe next time we play Tampa Bay, Moore will pull the roll out pass out.

I'll admit - I had the Cowboys at 8-9 at the start of the season. If thinks keep going well, they will be a solid playoff team.

Which brings me to this - they need an upgrade at backup QB, in case Dak got hurt. The answer: Nick Foles. He is sitting on the Bears bench as QB3. He has shown he can fill in and drive a team to victory. I know, you will say if Pack lost Rodgers or Chiefs lost Mahomes, Bills lost Allen, etc. However, as we have seen, if you think you have a shot, then by all means do everything you can. Cooper Rush and Wil Grier will not cut it. Go get Foles now, so he can have the bye week to learn the system.

:lmao2:

The Foles you remember, that won a Super Bowl is better but he's no longer that guy. If you want to be known as a realist then stop banking on what was and understand what is. Foles is now a shell of his former self. Rush is the better option if those are our only options.

I'm assuming you are talking about if Dak has to miss a game or two for whatever reason. In that case, we'll just have to make due.

Because if you are talking about Dak going down for the season, then the season is over and it's time to start the process of getting ready for 2022.

Ohhhhhhhh, sure. I imagine they'll do something to try to keep the fanbase engaged. Things they've done in the past. Like the NFCE is terrible and we can still win it. Just need to hang in there. Dak could be back for the playoffs if we make it. Let's not panic here. We're gonna go get this guy or that guy.

Yada, yada, yada.

I had them at 9-8, dear chap.
Now 10-7 and playoff bound in this weak NFC east.
Blimey! I like the swagger of these Cowboys!
