Except..... Mahomes.

But everybody already knows he is a league above EVERYONE.

Here it is for you, evidence in plain form:

Nice stat. :clap::clap:

No rocket science. Team game all the way.

And if he stays healthy, has a good GM/Coach, and the same physical freak routine Brady did in his old age, Mahomes will one day be the new GOAT.

He's not going to win 7 rings with 2 teams.

No offense ksk but last year was really the only year he's had a defense. They've been middle of the pack most of his time as qb. I can post a better breakdown of where they ranked later when I get in front of my computer if you care enough to see it.
No O at all, just discussion!!!!

KC's D was 11th when they won the super bowl in 21. They held both the Jaguars and Cincy to 20 pts. KC had the 4th ranked OL and 5th ranked DL, complete w/ a solid NT and major disruptive DT. That is the correct forumula. They let their primary stud WR walk and paid Chris Jones. Correct decision.

And why/how in tarnation did Cincy beat KC in 21? Easy answer, Cincy built a great DLine which controlled the LOS which helped them control Mahomes. KC scored 42 in its first two games that year in the playoffs, and then 24 losing to Cincy. Defense.

BTW, no one is claiming is that D is all it takes. More like, your highly unlikely to win a super bowl w/o a competent one.

Eli was a big game playa though.
Well, sort of. He was only able to garner 17 pts vs the Pats as the NYG D took over the game. The D held every team in the playoffs in 07 to 20 and under. Eli drove the bus, putting up 24, 21, 23, and 17 pts.

In 11, Eli failed miserably vs SF and got bailed out by 2 Kyle Williams fumbles. So, he really wasn't.

For sure the team around him played well but in clutch moments he made the plays. Not just in the NFL but in college.

Not really. His D gave him chance after chance after chance. He finally made some plays after being given many chances.

It’s not just about the rings, that makes someone the goat. It plays a role, but it’s not the end all. For example, Bill Russell, has the most championships in the NBA. Does that make him the goat in the NBA? No. Not even close. He was on the right team, at the right time, to have won 11 championships.

Here's more. Brady and Rodgers are a combined 2-11 when their defense allows 30 or more points

It wasn't just the defense vs Packers. The first few drives by the offense were miserable and made it harder on the defense. When the defense is out there for a ton of plays and then your offense goes 3 and out quickly it doesn't help at all. 2 picks before the half that lead to TDs isn't helping the defense. Whoever is blaming the defense solely clearly doesn't watch games.

yes but that doesnt figure in fumbles, and ints, where the other team gets short fields, and easy td's, or pick 6. Or just off not getting 1st downs,
too many 3 and outs.
So what the defense "allows" is rarely accurate.
And most teams are not going to win games where the other team puts up .30+.

So this kind of stat is rather meaningless , as the stats are compiled in a flawed manner.
