Everything Hinges On Lights Out Defensive Play

Actually this was NOT that game. We're like sharks preying off defensive disruption, sacks, turnovers, INT's, defensive TD's. The D played well but unlike our other three wins, the offense had to EARN it. Dak to his credit, had to buy time vs a ravenous pass rush and make plays. The offense had to drive the length of the field without the aid of turnovers or playing "free" with a nice lead. The clock management at the end of the first and the 4th and 1 "tush push" attempt were terrible.

The defense has played lights out 4 of 6 games this season.

The 2 they didn't we lost easily.

This offense is ugly, boring, and not pulling their weight.
Disagree completely.

Defense was bend don’t break.

That’s not “lights out”.

This win is Dak’s. He and Lamb are the only dudes on the team who elevated.

like Last week vs SF, Micah played a lot of DE and rushed from the outside. He was mostly ineffective and his speed actually worked against him, allowing himself to get pushed out of plays.

I'd like to see Dan Quinn use Micah more effectively. I'd also like to see Tank inside some. His burst can really overwhelm Cs & OGs

This is still a team that gets rocked by the niners in the playoffs. I refuse to get sucked back into thinking they have any chance, regardless of barely beating one of the worst defenses in the league.

Ok. @MountaineerCowboy , I went back and did a quick rewatch and fast forward of the defensive play and the pressure was really good.

Even though the TOs and sacks weren’t there, Herbert was never comfortable and made some bad decisions as a result.

I still think this was Dak’s game but the D played well also.

The offense has two weeks to work on it, I expect another win against the Rams at home. But, with how it currently is going, it won’t work against Philthy, Buffalo or Miami….and maybe not even against the Lions. They do need to pick it up a few notches to reach double digit wins.

"Lights out"?

We got our 1st sack and our 1st takeaway in the Chargers final drive.

Cute how you're trying to spin Herbert choking as an insult towards Dak though.

Dak got into FG range. Herbert couldn't.

There's no guarantee we see the Niners in the playoffs.

The '95 Cowboys had lost 3 straight games to the Niners and won the Super Bowl because they didn't see them in the playoffs.
