So if emmitt gets in trouble he would be former Cardinal Emmitt Smith? Shut up.

He was on the Cowboys roster. He was at the Cowboys official team hotel as a resident because they put him up there. If I'm not mistaken, she was a hotel employee.

IOW, when he committed the crime, he was a Dallas Cowboy. Would it being done at VR make it more clear to you?

Wow.....he got convicted TODAY....he committed the crime on Sept 20th 2014 as a member of the Dallas Cowboys at the Cowboys Hotel

It is news TODAY because he got convicted TODAY not because the news hates Dallas

Ok here's a test. Lets see if you get these right. 2 scenarios.
1. We find out the while a Cardinal Emmitt robbed a bank. What is he referred to as?
2. T.O played with the 9ers, eagles, Dallas, Buffalo and finally Cincy, he beats up a woman tomorrow, what is he referred to as?

If you said anything other than former cowboy for either you are a lying sack of crap. Thats the only point I am making.

Ok here's a test: I bet you will only repeat your same argument and ignore the arguments made in response.

In other cases it is undoubtedly gratuitous. In this case it is not for the reasons you are intent on ignoring.

She wasn't a hotel employee, he met her in Chicago area and got her to stay with him at the hotel in Dallas.

There is a bigger and bigger percentage of NFL players that are nothing more than scum with an inflated attitude. Dallas certainly has it's fair share of them.

Wow going from $500,000 a year lifestyle to prison lifestyle is going to be a shocker for him !
another one bites the dust !
They should teach a morals class, and a common sense class, and a dont be a dumb az class to these nfl players.
His career is over.

They teach ALL those classes. Door jams like Spillman simply don't listen. Guy is garbage.

Makes sense as to why he couldn't find work last year.

He was a ST beast in '14.

Also, I don't know the details of the assault, but the fact that Spillman was also accused of sexual assault in 2013 says dude's got issues.

I'll never understand why these millionaire athletes resort to sexual assault when women literally throw themselves at them.

Exactly. There is a certain percentage of the population that are just dirtbags and NFL players aren't exempted from that.

It's a power and upbringing thing. Insecurities, mental problems or crappy parents means no never mind.

Not just athletes, happens at all economic levels, cultures and lines of work.

Gotta sell those clicks!!

He was on the team and even stayed with the team after the complaint was filed. Dallas also happens to be the last team he was active with. But I guess they should just leave the Cowboys out.

To this fan, after an ex-Cowboy has been off the roster, he's really on his own. His association then, is in the arena of memories...not a direct reflection. lol

When once again, a common Joe, his flight is on his own...not a long sense gone, team.

As to the media, yellow journalism hasn't changed since the era of the Civil War. Ask Donald Trump...who actually spews more than the media can keep up with.:)
