Other than Wide-Receiver Quincy Morgan, what other Ex-COwboys could turn-around and haunt the Cowboys on opponent teams?

Quincy Morgan - Steelers

Here are some Eagle possibles ...

Freddie Mitchell (maybe not) - Kansas City Chiefs

Andy Hall - un-signed

Corey Simon - Indianapolis Colts

Hugh Douglas - un-signed

If I'm so pretty, why am I available?

Freddie can't hurt anyone from a couch on Sundays.
Douglas is done.
Simon might look good for a season or two, but then won't play up to his contract. I don't know hall.
Really, you should mention the DE (Burgess?)who went to the Raiders. I think you should have kept him. He was a monster in the playoffs and maybe he has turned the corner on his injuries.
Oh, you might miss Ike Reese. He was a monster on special teams for yah.
All in all, Philly has a better chance of someone coming back to bite them because they are deeper. We are just starting to turn the corner on depth. :)

We don't face the Steelers for 4 more years. Unless you have us meeting the Steelers in the Super Bowl I highly doubt we lose any sleep over Q. Morg.

Yeah since we don't play the steelers until 2008, I don't think he'll hurt us.

He might not even be on the team by then. He only signed a 1-year deal.

Excellent points ...Burgess, and Reese may indeed come back and bite us in the rear.

BTW, Andy Hall was our 4th string QB -- I thought he had some skills.

Thanks.:)

Wishful thought Hos ;)

ven if you don't meet up with the Steelers, would it be interesting if Morgan has a pro-bowl year? You know how some things work out.

It's not so much that morgan can turn around and hurt the Cowboys, as it is that he may turn the corner and become a monster WR.

Besides, my question was not exclusively applied to Quincy Morgan, but any other ex-Cowboy players that your team released that will meet you in the regular season.

You'd have to go a long way before I start getting afraid of old cowboys... How about Shante Carver??? oh wait he's in the Arena League now...

Yeah I guess I see your point -- even if you're not trying to hear mine. Because I guess Emmitt Smith never made you leary when he went first went to Arizona:rolleyes:

It would have to be your thought PT, not mine. I've not put the the Boys in the Super Bowl. The only way Stone Hands can haunt us until 2008 is for that to happen. Granted we've played them in the Super Bowl more than your team has played period, but I still think you've got the cart in front of the horse.

We actually played AZ with Emmitt in uniform. Do you think we're sitting here quaking about 2008? Not only that but Roy Williams made any fears of facing Emmitt moot.

You're reaching PT, really reaching.

Quincy Morgan was never good fit in dallas and it happn to many players not just for ex cowboys..if Quincy Morgan turn to be a good player good for him but cutting him was a must he was dropping passes like crazy.
This guy always play scared being hit or somthing.
It is his last contract year ..when will he start being productive? same goes to Freddie Mitchell .. sometimes as a team you have to cut your loses and say enugh is enugh ..mybe it will be a good shock therapy for those players when they join diffrent teams ....but between me and you Quincy Morgan and Freddie Mitchell will never be more then 3rd receiver at best

as for the other Eagles I would put my trust in the Eagles Managements
Hugh Douglas is in his last days and the other 2 they already have cheaper replacements for them.

Phoenix, if there ex-Cowboys, then there is a good chance they are not good enough to make a team that does not include Campo as coach or a Jones as the GM. Sad to say it, if BP didn't think they were good enough here with all of the holes we have, then I would say they probably were not NFL quality to begin with. The only 2 players I can think of that are on another team and are starting are Antonio Bryant and Jeff Robinson. If Bryant keeps his head on straight, then he has the skills to hurt any team. It was a sad day when we had to cut ties with him...

How about Randall Godfrey? Anyone think that he will be a problem come Sunday?

Godfrey will probably make a few good plays but he is definately not the one to be feared on that team.

Keith Adams

Major observation TE77!

THE BULLET
Keith Adams sprints down the field as fast as he can and zeroes in on his target, just as his nickname, "The Bullet," suggests. His is a job not many NFL players desire, but it's what he prides himself on. He is what people know as the "wedge-buster."

Former Dallas Cowboy LB; now Eagle! Perhap?!?

Know you're just tryin to make conversation, but as others have touched on, basically this question is about 10 years too late as it pertains to the Cowboys. We've been too devoid of talent for too long to worry about that sort of problem... give or take a fluke.

Early/mid '90's we were having to let some pretty good players go.. the ones we've let go since then by in large have problems even makin someone elses 53 much less somehow truly biting us.

isn't it ironic how Emmitt's last game in Texas stadium was his first game with negative rushing yards.

Reggie Swinton is now on the cardinals and we all know what he can do on punt or kick returns.

The Rams have a 3 time pro bowler by the name of Dexter Coakley
