Are you saying that if you saw that the boy was hurt, you'd be more worried about what potential legal action would be falsely brought against you rather than getting the boy to a doctor, asap?

Any smart person would be, why should you possibly lose your assets or face lengthy court proceedings for that. You call 911, and let the people who have insurance, laws protecting them etc do their job.

You would think any true intelligent person would govern themselves by a certain moral code.. but that's just my opinion.

We do live in silly times.. but if the boy were seriously injured i would hope most people would worry more about his health and safety than about false lawsuits being brought against them.

If you have no medical training, just moving the kid could cause more damage, potentially taint evidence etc. You let the professionals do their job, that is what they are paid to do.

When you see a pedestrian hit, do you take that person to hospital, if not, why in this case?

Im not talking about someone who was hit by a car or someone who has a broken neck.. im talking about a kid who has just been raped. I don't think you'd have to worry about moving the kid in this situation.. im just pleading for common sense. If a child was injured, i would hope most would worry more about getting him help right away than worrying about what they should do, what risks it posed to them, etc..

In this case, McQueary did nothing close to what he should have. The fact that he's trying to benefit now from it is disgusting.

Although normally I could understand someone not being allowed to take a child to the hospital unless they are the parent(s), Family members, legal guardian or permission from one of those. I could also understand calling 911 and they might take him after getting in contact with the legal guardian and so on.

So those are normal circumstances but I thought that most states have the good Samaritan act/law that prevents someone from being sued for trying to help someone who has been injured or is in a dangerous situation.

When it comes to a child being molested, the right thing to do IS your job.

agreed, how you can live with yourself after walking out on that scene is beyond me
