There is a BIG reason why the Dallas Cowboys have not seen a NFC Championship game in over 25 years and why it will continue UNTIL this franchise gets a GM that knows what it is truly doing...

Example:

They sure looked like they knew what they were doing in this draft. Maybe you should wait and see what the season brings.

Hmmmmm, let me think ( not flipping while thinking ) ...still pausing....... Yes, you eat everything the Cowboys sells and scream Supebowl after every draft. So I rejoice with all your optimism without you know what you are talking about.
Thanks for asking.

And I agree with you statement about waiting and seeing but this statement has been going on for 2 decades. After each draft is always optimism. But if you go back 2 years and look at the draft, you see that the franchise misses more than hits. Hence, why this franchise can't get to where they want too other than being #1 in Forbes Magazine. But hey, another years and the optimism cup is full again times 25 years.

It took the Chiefs 50 years to win their 2nd Super Bowl and you cry about 25 years.

You call it cry? Really, OK, your definition but by non-fanatical Dallas fans, "WE" call it fact/reality. "We" ( yes, that is what it is called) don't scream SUPERBOWL BOUND after every draft, want players/coaches fired after every loss nor think after every win, they are the greatest. In order to achieve this calm level of being a Dallas fan, takes about 50 years+ of seeing many snaps of the ball, highs and lows. "We" (there is that word again) are not politically correct or woke. So thanks for your definition of crying and the other called reality. And as "Hardline" stated, "He is right".

The constant 25 year thing is being a crybaby. You and many others have an agenda to bad mouth the team whatever they do. The team seems to be on the right track on what they did in free agency and the draft. There will be around 18 new players on the roster this season and most of them are on defense which is what they needed to do. They have a good qb. The NFC is up for grabs. It starts at the division and they look to be in position to have a decent shot of winning the division. No reason to be so negative, they did what they needed to do.

Could you imagine how pleased we would be if they drafted Johnny %^$# for brains instead of Martin in 2014 or successfully traded up for Paxton Lynch in the 1st round of 2016?

You have a problem w/ someone not liking 25 years of mostly frustration due to horrific GMing? Why? I mean, why are you judging someone who doesn't like deliberate sabotage?

Do you know what would have made this radio guy trust this draft?

If Dallas would have drafted the 5’8” slow safety that was his pet cat from this draft.

Had Dallas drafted Washington from TCU, Cavenaugh would have been going on and on bout what a great pick he is and that Dallas did great. And he was talking picking that guy in the 2nd or 3rd round, lol.

What did the NFL think of Washington? Nobody even used a 7th on the guy. Baltimore took a flyer on him as an UDFA.

Using Cavenaugh as proof of anything that has to do with a successful (or not) draft probably isn’t a good idea. The guy tries but he doesn’t know anything compared to what NFL teams know. He’s just a fan who happens to work in radio.
