Excuses lined up. Nothing ever changes

Dak is playing at a high level, but we have seen this before, and The defense is bad. I doubt every team who has won a SB in the last 18 years has had a good defense. I say 18 because I am counting Romo years too, because of the excuses these two got of the cowboys needing to have everything just right for either to win anything of significance.

The cowboys defense is already brewing as the excuse for Daks more than likely end of the season fall apart. Romo got the same excuses and quite frankly I'm just freaking tired of it.

And let's keep it real, its not like either one of those two have always had a bad defense thru out their years even during the one and done seasons....I'd say both Romo and Dak at times atleast enjoyed the luxury of a serviceable or bent dont break defense, if not better.

For the fans who are already talking the defense excuse, I just want to say...I'd REALLY like to see Dak carry us for once thru the post season if the cowboys were to make it. Is that hard to ask?

But on this occasion I think the bad D is a fair excuse? They have been utterly terrible so far.

Offense is #1 at the moment.. D #32.. so far it would be safe to say Dak is doing his bit at this point.

No excuses, just facts. The Cowboys haven’t been able to stop the run for years now. And they have only been able to run the ball with Zeke early in his career where he was the only option. They had 1 legit WR during those years so teams just played the pass knowing they had nothing else. It’s really just basic football. 1 guy can’t win by himself. They need all 3 groups(defense, offense and special teams) to be successful in the playoffs. So far, this year is no different. No defense. BUT, there’s hope that the defense can come together, learn the defense and be better. They don’t have to be great, just solid.

The good news is every defense in the NFL is terrible.

We just need a semi functional to be as good as everyone else.

This sounds like a pre-set built in excuse to blame Dak if we do fall apart at the end of the season.

There has never been a quarterback in NFL history who has won games by himself.

You can’t blame this mess of a D on Dak. Yes he’s the highest paid player in football but that’s the two stooges in the Owners box fault, just the same as it there faults the D sucks. Football men? lol.

If you’re expecting any team to be “carried through the playoffs” by their QB when the defense is really bad, I’d say you’re asking a lot.

It’s happened but it’s very rare. Here are three in this century and all of these defenses were better than what we’re currently putting out there.

  • 25th in points allowed
  • 22nd in yards allowed
  • 21st in DVOA
• 2009 Saints
  • 20th in points allowed
  • 25th in yards allowed
  • 12th in DVOA
• 2006 Colts
  • 23rd in points allowed
  • 21st in yards allowed
  • 26th in DVOA

We’re currently last in yards allowed and second to last in points allowed.
