I know I normally sound my horn on Felix Jones, but this coming year I expect major things from him.

First of all we all know Marion will be gone this year. Felix will be the primary guy here.

Improvements from the offensive line, the return of Tony Romo, more priority in the offensive game plan...

Just in the last 8 games Felix Jones showed what he could do with more of the focus on him.

112 rushes compared to 73. Note that 112 is still too few carries. Only 14 carries per game, but I digress, he had 62.3 yards per game in what was still a running back by committee set up.

What is probably more impressive was how he progressed in the passing game. The same amount of receptions in both halves of the season yet he had 293 yards receiving compared to 157 yards receiving.

His right side (not wide right) really struggled behind Colombo. 1.8 yards per carry, compared to his left side (not wide left) behind free, which was 3.0.

It's not even funny how crippled we were by Colombo and to some extent Leonard Davis.

I'll just say if I was Dez/Roy/Miles/Felix/Jason/Romo I'd LOVE this draft.

Felix/TC got some new linemen to either open holes, or put pressure on the current guys to do so. And a thumper full back to bust open the LB and give him that extra wiggle room.

Tony/Roy/Miles/Dez/Witten have some linemen to hold that block and give Romo and themselves an extra half-second to finish a route.

;)

I'm pretty sure Felix would have preferred an OG at 3 instead of another back who is an awful lot like him.

He got a OT at 1, an OG at 4, and a FB and C/G at 7.

Felix probably knows Barber/Choice are both gone soon.

That OG at 4 has a lot of question marks, and will most certainly not replace Davis immediately. Someone like Rackley might have pushed Davis.

If the team needed a 3rd down back who can block, catch and play special teams so bad they could have just signed Darren Sproles in FA.

Fixed it for you ;)

I'm not sure Choice is back. I just get a feeling that since Garrett has to "approve" of everyone on the roster, that he may not approve of Choice. It seems like he only got carries out of necessity. And if he isn't going to be in on third downs because he can't block, and if he isn't good on special teams, where does that leave him?

If he stays healthy. Supposedly JG had to cut the playbook down considerably because the OL was so immobile.

No offense, but Trent Dilfer seems to think our 4th round OG could be a star in this league. I'm inclined to side with him in the matter.

None taken. But Trent Dilfer picked us over MN in the playoffs two years ago too.

I like Dilfer, but most of the other 'experts' had other guys ranked higher than Arkin.

He finally gets the role he should have had the year he was drafted. 'Bout time.

Where did you hear that, although I certainly believe it.

Felix is not the guy you think he is.

It leaves hime as the 2nd back, and Felix knowing he is the 1st back. There will be a great change in attitude. They will "for once" know their roles. Know their work load and shares of carries.

They can now concentrate on their known assignmetns. Therefore, improving their skils, such as blocking. And not just a wild cat run formation. Which EVERYONE knew what was going to happen when he was in there.

The run game this year will be awesome. With our upgrades to the line and our commitment to making sure tony and our backs are protected we should have a very nice year.

Name 1 back in the league who could've rushed for a thousand yards behind the cowboys line...?? Now give him the same benefit of the doubt you give Romo.

The interior of this offensive line is still really bad. Adding Tyron will help, but we're still going to have some problems.
