Foles and Stafford don't "suck." Stafford's play speaks for itself. Foles has had an uneven career, but is CAPABLE of playing at an elite level at times (remember 27 TDS and 2 Ints?) and - crucially - demonstrated he was capable of playing his best when the pressure was at an absolute maximum. Our guy doesn't do that.

I believe a quarterback has a better chance his first two seasons after switching teams. The biggest con that has been highlighted, is the same con that will follow him wherever he goes.

The greats adapt. They take control. They understand what they are seeing from a defense and respond accordingly.

Dak will never be that guy. He needs things to go entirely according to plan. Putting him on a new team doesn't change that.

The expectations for our QB are if they don’t win championships like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman they’re going to be disrespected by a large number of fans. Staubach and Aikman set the bar high. All the QBs that preceded them have gotten bashed by a lot of fans for not getting the team over the hump. The fan base has become increasingly frustrated over the past 2+ decades with Jerry and our QBs. They receive the brunt of the hate. From Danny White to Tony Romo to Dak Prescott have all had their share of haters. The trashing of our QBs has become much worse under Dak despite him being one of our most productive QBs because the fan base has reached its breaking point with the organization and our lack of playoff success.

In the past few years even other real good players on the team are receiving hate from the fan base. Amari Cooper was being bashed repeatedly despite being our best receiver. This is a very angry, frustrated fan base. Micah Parsons better not take a step back this season or the fans will be on him. He set the bar very high for himself as a rookie and the fans expectations for him are off the charts.

Wentz didn't do so great with the Colts, or will he with the Commodes. Goff did not fair well in Detroit so far. Darnold sucked as well in Carolina.
Foles did not pull a Brady and win with his 2nd team either.

agreed saw stafford nearly blow 2-3 games in the playoffs, heck saw brady in 2020 sb run nearly blow it..dofernces both the defenses bailed them out and team play including play calling was better across the board then our TEAM. Teams win big games not individuals. Those keep saying dak has flaws so does 99.,99% of all qbs and humans..sorry but those are facts..

i saw Farve and PManning throw way above average INTs in their careers but threw a ton of Tds to boot but thats a flaw throwing INTs and needing to then bail out the team..

35 tds 10ints is flawed how much?? every pass isn't pin point perfect LMAO..sure daks not an elite passer but he sure is better passer then Lamar Jackson, Murray and back some vick, already story on that.

so hes no natural born Rogers or brady making difficult passes look smooth and easy but Dak can get the job done..

he needs better team play not team that coughs up games ie 14 penalties. Record year for penalties, you can skate past average teams that way but not against the better teams making those mistakes..

sorry dak couldn't overcomes no run game.14 penalties, poor OL blocking at times and defense that gave up 4 Straight scores to start a game.

Not entirely true. There are many times you can point to significant plays GOOD QB's makes....that takes a team to a super bowl and win.

Yes...it takes a D (sorry Tony!)...a team. But the QB is one of the most significant single positions on the field. There are some very lucky, very average QB's that got a super bowl (aforementioned Johnson, pretty average imho, I think even Eli was average). But....MOST teams get to and win with an adept QB....don't you think?

Like a D helps a QB...the QB can certainly help the D! I think we did that in 2014 and 2016.

Some people feel they haven't seen that on a consistent basis from Dak. Even some of Dak's most enthusiastic critics say we could win a superbowl WITH A GOOD TEAM around him...as you seem to agree with here.

Do you really think in the modern era of football that 17 points is enough to win a playoff game? The blame lies on the whole team, Dak included. So he didn't lose it himself but he contributed. Fortunately it looks like the memo finally got to the front office that maybe investing in the D with players of hungry nature might be smart. But until now they once again let the talent on the O-line dwindle. The draft hopefully helped that.

He needs to play better no question but he was battling a bad leg and shoulder. He went from being able to leverage throws all over the field to be absolutely erratic.

If he can fix his mechanics and no question his arm motion and legs were way off then we will be fine. If he plays like he did last year we have serious problems.

Listen Daks a good QB. I’m not someone who thinks he’s elite or that thinks he’s horrible. He can win a SB.

My issue with winning a SB with this group and Dak is kind of the Garrett-esque culture that has not been completely fumigated. Dak brings some of it. Many players do. It’s the sound byte culture of “do our jobs, be men, be brothers “ etc. Sounds like a greeting card for athletes. We need to throw that out. Get peeved when we lose and say “we suck, we need to get better.” Take it to teams. Have some bite to match the bark. Stop blaming refs. You’ve earned nothing.

Maybe that comes from the Joneses too but this team has a QB and cast to win games and compete for more….though I think we were more talented last season. I just think we have a culture issue inside some of the guys. It’s not Daks not good enough. It’s he needs to be more of a critical leader. Can’t just throw out what sounds good. We need someone to snap at dudes and get some focus. He got sprayed by the Pepe Le Garrett and needs to rinse it

They kept the Niners to 23 so they should have won that game but they had too many self-inflicted mistakes and the player that had the best game was Vander Esch. When that happens, they're in real trouble.
