We have no chance without Dez. He is the only skill position on offense...that scares anyone...besides Romo.

We won games down the stretch of the season AND we won playoff games without Troy. Because we had a QB on the roster that could do "some" of the things we needed the QB position to do. But are dynasty died when Irvin got hurt...because no one on the team could do anything close to what he could do. Same thing with this team and the way it is constructed. We do not have a QB on the roster behind Romo...that can come close to putting together 4 quarters of solid football. And we do not have another WR on the team that command double teams and open up rushing lanes for the running game because a Safety has to be on top of Dez as opposed to coming inside the box. Take Dez out of the lineup....and the field shrinks real quick.

Your opinion will be the majority but I disagree.

What I may be overlooking is the simplicity of our offense and how we won't be creative enough to overcome losing a player like Dez but if you can protect a elite QB like we can I think we would still be fine.

If a player like Dez was this much of a difference maker then the Lions, Falcons, Bengals, and a couple of other teams would've had more success.

Does anyone think Green Bay is done now because Jordy is gone? I don't and before you mention Cobb he is a volume guy that really isn't going to take the top off a defense.

The NFL is all about the QB.

I don't know enough about Green Bay to comment on this. But I do KNOW enough about Dallas to feel like we cannot win without Dez. New England can bring in whomever at WR and RB....and make it work...because they spread the ball around and use the short passing game as a running game. THIS offense requires you to physically be able to beat your man....we rarely scheme people open...we use the attention Dez gets to get the Beasleys, Wittens and Williams open. And without a option on the outside like Dez...we would have to change the way we attack to be successful. It would work on teams we are just better than. But good teams...and/or teams with enough film on what we were doing....would cause us to struggle.

Now I have always felt our vertical passing game was not best suited for Tonys skill set. But....but...to Tony's credit...he has made it work. But I have always felt Tony would be better suited for a West Coast style offense.

I agree with everything you said here and I concede that I may be overlooking this aspect when I say we could be ok without Dez.
