Okay, since I'm now officially on the GROZ bandwagon..

What college or pro candidates are out there that have been successful 3-4 Defensive Coordinators? Of course by successful, I mean a coach that knows how to bring the pressure from different spots and knows how to train the players we have to develop new ways of protecting against the run and also getting to the quarterback. I'm getting tired to this diluted vanilla approach

the diluted approach, from Tuna's mouth, is due to all the rookies and new system. it's all they can digest.

has nothing to do with Zimmer or any other coordinator.

I'm not so sure I buy that at least not at this point in the season. Now it might be Tuna doesn't want to be agressive because of the possibility of stunting the growth of his players.. I can't really say I bought into that, just as I didn't buy into it last year

Im tired of hearing about us not being able to do stuff because of the young players... that excuse doesnt work anymore. these kids have played 14 games, when do we quit babying them?

Parcells is afraid to put Romo or Hensen in a bad situation. Can you explain to me when a good time would be to put them in?

It's all crap. Im tired of the way he thinks, the way he manages the game. I like him as a GM, but hes making me sick to my stomach, as a coach. :bang2:

So he is telling us he drafted a bunch of dummies or his coaches can't teach...or both

I'm sorry but I'm not buying it.

gotta love the armchair coaches "not buying it" here. as if Tuna wants a sucky, vanilla defense. lol

Jim Haslett is a skilled 3-4 DC

Dom Capers would be excellent(he turned our the Jags' D a few years ago in a heartbeat)

He walked away from a Head Coaching job in the NFL to coach at UVA, so he definitely won't come back to be a D-Coordinator.

He just went to Temple to rebuild their program to boot.

Yah-it's also a GOOD thing the city of Houston didn't work out well for him! :D

Honestly-I think the talent here is very good. It's just that Zimmer(and Payton) have no clue how to utilise them.

After seeing Parcells going out of control on the sidelines in the Skins game, it all but looks like he's gonna revamp his coaching staff next year. :)

What's it going to be then, eh?

I hope you are right about the last part.

Yes we need an experienced 3-4 DC. I just don't think Zimmer is qualified to run it like it is supposed to be ran.

Pepper Johnson? That is very interesting. Is he coaching somewhere now? I thought at one point he was with the Browns.

I would not mind seeing Capers.

Parcells sets the philosophy of the team. He has control of what Zimmer and Payton do as coordinators. If he wanted the defense to be played differently, then he would do that. His Giants ran a very basic, vanilla defense. They just happened to have LT. That made a huge difference.

Capers is not that great.

Not sure of that Vanialla approach...thinks its more like Wip Cream right now....

32 Million in Free Agents, A HOF Coach two 1st Round Picks and we get Humilated by the skins TWICE, with the playoffs on the line.....sounds more like being out coached

Greg Williams vs Zimmer.....no contest...
