Tommorow the Cowboys at 7-6 are hosting a team with an identical record in the Steelers who just got destroyed at home by a 5-8 San Diego team. Dallas is coming off a very emotional and gutsy victory over the red hot Bengals. Yet and still all these people think that Dallas is a huge underdog. Why? I'm not saying tommorow's game will be easy. I fully expect a dog fight like essentially every week, but I just can't understand for the life of me why everyone is acting like we have no chancs to beat Pittsburgh. This ain't the Steelers team that won two Super Bowl championships in 2006 and 2008. Not even close. They're older, slower, and nowhere near as talented.

Take a look at the injuries we have.

Okay we're really banged up. I totally understand that. However we still beat as I mentioned a red hot Bengals team despite the Brown tragedy and all the injuries. Why can't it happen again? I don't see why not.

I honestly think it is people not really knowing what to expect from the cowboys. Not that the steelers are head and shoulders better than the boys but no one really has any faith that the cowboys are really ready to make a push into the playoffs. Our wins have been ugly and our losses worse. This team are fighters but really have found ways to lose games. Dallas really could win out and go 10-6 and make the playoffs, but they also could lose out and o 7-9. im not really surprised that people are not laying their money dwon on the cowboys. Heck I still havn't figured them out.

We're winning the game tomorrow, book it. The Steelers defense is not good this year and Big Ben will be rusty coming back from the injury. And the Cowboys are playing resilient ball right now. I guarantee we'll win. I've guaranteed the last 3 and so far I'm 3-0.

Because we have yet look impressive in a win this season. While we won last week had AJ Green not had a couple of uncharacteristic drops we lose.

Nice post. I agree, its just hard for me to take off my homer goggles and see the Cowboys as a team decimated by injures and a team with a horrid O-Line. I know these things exist but for some reason I dont see them as underdogs. The fact they they show flashes of greatness of "what it could be" is enough for me to assume that eventually, and soon, they will put it all together. Its just part of being a homer and not being a "realist" or so Im told.

That's part of the game, man. Sometimes you need luck to win games. Hell, look at the Giants last year against the 49ers ... who knows what happens if Kyle Williams doesn't fumble. Yes, the overall play last week may not have been impressive, but the heart and desire this team showed last week was impressive though.

I thought winning is what mattered.

Why does it always seem like the Cowboys have to look impressive or dominant for that win to count.

I swear that some around here would rather lose pretty over winning ugly.

Who cares?

WE STILL WON THE DAMN GAME.

I love how you point out the Bengals silly mistakes and don't point out ours. If it wasn't for those silly mistakes we would've won by a larger margin.

An occasional ugly win is OK but when every win is ugly against bad teams it will catch up to you. I would love nothing more then to come out tomorrow and watch a beat down of the Steelers but it just doesn't happen.

I pointed out AJ Green's mistake because it is out of the ordinary and I ignored ours because they are a weekly occurrence.

DUDE A WIN IS A WIN. UGLY WINS ARE STILL WINS. THE GIANTS HAD PLENTY OF UGLY WINS LAST SEASON. DO YOU THINK THEY CARE ABOUT THAT?

We have won 4 outta 5 , a ugly 4 outta 5 but i will take it. The steelers are one of the media darlings so they automatically get the props over us, but it doesnt mean they are better. Their oline is horrible and big ben is hurt, mendenhall is suspended, and harrison and palamala are still out so..... Its anybodies ball game. Our offense looks allot better with murry back , now only if our defense can make stops in the second half. Looks like our offense will have to carry the team in the last month of the season.

There's a lot of reasons why. While the Cowboys have been a mediocre team the last few years that's been hovering around 500 and sitting home for the playoffs the Steelers have been contending. They seldom miss the playoffs and have been to 2 SB's the past 5 years winning one of them. Roethlisberger has been to 3 SB's during his career winning 2 of them. He's a proven big game QB and Romo isn't.

Tomiln is a proven head coach who's led the Steelers to a championship. He's well respected while Garrett who's trying to learn how to be a head coach gets little respect. The Cowboys have been so inconsistent this season you never know what team will show up on Sunday so it's hard for anyone to pick them to win games. The Steelers have dominated the Cowboys over the years except during the 90's when Aikman was the QB. The Steelers have been a much better team than the Cowboys over the past decade.

The Cowboys don't match up very well with the Steelers because they're known for being physical and the Cowboys aren't. The history between the 2 teams and their reputation favors the Steelers in the eyes of most. I could see the Cowboys winning this game it wouldn't surprise me but I could also see them getting their butts handed to them that wouldn't surprise me either.

A few reasons. This is the time of the year where the cowboys usually fall off and where Pitt makes a run. Fair or not it's just the way it is. Pitt has the #1 d. How our o has looked pretty much all season that's not good. No one knows how Bryant will be. We are missing 5 starters on d plus our nickel cb. Not to mention Claiborne may not play. Now none of this means we can't win. Just some reasons why people think we won't.

I can't wait till all you eat crow tommorow.

Lol and this ain't my daddy's cowboys either. Have you picked the cowboys to lose a game this year? You asked a question and people are giving you the reasons. None of the reasons mean it's a for sure thing we are gonna lose. It's just the reason people are predicting us to lose. Kjj made a lot of excellent points

No he didn't. He just brought up the past about the Steelers. Who cares about that? This current Steelers team isn't close to what they used to be. Comparing team to past teams is ridiculous. Their offense is completely out of sync right now and that vaunted defense of theirs just got lit up like a Christmas tree by the freaking Chargers.

there's this misconception that the Steelers defense sucks because they haven't been causing as many turnovers as usual, but they have given up the fewest yards of any team in the league and the 7th fewest points. This is the kind of defense that has destroyed us so far this season and the kind that Romo should be having nightmares about because against our piece of crap offensive line they're likely to squash the run and pummel him with very few players in the box, flood the secondary with defenders and wait for the forced throw.

The only hope is that the Cowboys defense can stop Rothlesberger and keep them under 17pts,,, their OL sucks almost as much as ours so it is a possibility. If they can do that then the Cowboys might have a chance if the offense plays conservatively,,, don't make Romo have to carry this entire team all by himself,,, otherwise it's likely to be a very bad day.
