The problem is that people go off the deep end when they don't understand why Romo didn't throw to so-and-so open receiver, etc., (not saying you are) without understanding that there are likely reasons for the choices he makes, especially in taking a sack instead of "forcing" a ball somewhere he didn't feel it needed to go.

The only purpose I had in creating this thread was to show what a quarterback goes through (readwise) in making such a decision, for those who seemed to not understand such things. But as usual, a Romo thread turns into far more than that.

For the record, I still would have liked to see him put that ball up for Dez, but it still appears to me that when he cocked to throw, he saw the safety start moving toward Dez and pulled it down. I'd rather him trust Dez to win that battle.

As far as Murray goes, I don't know. I'm not sure what he saw, but he definitely was discussing something with Murray after they got to the sideline.

It's ultimately not a big deal, so maybe I should have just left it alone.
I think Romo needs to start trusting Dez like he trusts Witten. I know I might sound like a crybaby T.O. right now but I do believe the whole Romo/Witten bromance needs to take a break an Dez needs to become the focal point of this offense starting yesterday. We read every day about the reports of Dez dominating practice, well if that's the case then Romo should have trusted his playmaker there and launched it to Dez on that play. His hesitance to do it on that play highlights two of the areas I am most critical of Romo: he doesn't trust Dez enough IMO and he's only average to good at fitting tight throws down the sideline.
