I blame the average season on these two players. Now it’s not completely their fault. The Owner should have had these guys locked up and ready to go day 1. Demarcus delayed having shoulder surgery until he got his new deal. The cowboys ***** footed around and they got the deal done but Demarcus missed almost all of training camp. He’s still a really good player but he hasn’t been as dominate this season. If he had that surgery a month or two earlier I think we see a better player right now. When you pay a guy 21 million he better have 10+ sacks.

and Elliott , let’s face it sitting out all of camp hurt him. He doesn’t have the same burst or stamina. He’s still a really good back but, the vision hasn’t been the same and he looks a little thick around the torso area. I just really think if these two players were healthy and ready to go day 1 of camp that we’d be seeing a different level of production from these two.

my point is don’t screw around with Dak and Cooper this offseason. Get them done ASAP. They’ll have piece of mind and be ready for camp day 1. Learn from your past mistakes!

Take the scratched record off the turn table.....Zeke the 2019 Fall Guy. This team has been dysfunctional for years when it comes to placing talent on the field, game plans, discipline, coaching of course, scouting, and ego owner.....and all the failures are hinging on DLaws & Zeke's pockets? Dak and Amari about to get paid.....then what?

I saw Lawrence fall down like 4 times yesterday as he was being blocked. Guy has been straight garbage all season!

Im honestly nervous that if we sign Dak and Coop, their production will drop as well. Why care about winning when you're getting paid at the end of the day? It's like me at work. Customer Satisfaction is nice, but I'm here to get paid. The satisfaction of the customers is nothing but a commodity. Same goes for them. Winning is a nice commodity, but not their top priority. So when they lose, they won't care and they'll go out and make the same mistakes next week. Welcome to the new NFL .

man this is the biggest overreaction thread to date.. these are not the issues but thanks for adding to the chaos..i hope it makes you feel better but theres are 10-15 other issues before to you get to Tank and Zeke.. sorry thats not it..

Both of them played really well yesterday. Zeke is a mudder and it showed. Dlaw had like 3 TFL.
right exactly the reason this OP made zero sense go after the $$ aspect but really so many other issues..

yes, over paying 2 players should be a lesson that we should overpay for the other 2

sounds about right

I thought so too.. I know this may sound crazy becuase we've beaten the " Zeke can't break a long one anymore" into the ground...but I think he was on the brink of finally doing it yesterday...he was ripping through their defense and it was bound to happen...and Tank...didn't he have a nice strip sack that literally bounce right back in to Brady's hands? He had some nice TFLs too.

I thought Zeke might have gone for 150 had we kept feeding him. Zeke however did take him self out near the goal line which totally kiboshed everything.

The #1 reason this team sucks is the defense. Say what you want about ranking or otherwise, they simply cannot stop the run when counted on. Against the best teams in the NFL, they have gotten completely destroyed. Save NE.

#2 is clearly the horrid coaching. Moore hasn't been perfect, but he has been leagues ahead of anyone we have had in a long long time. Garrett's in game management has been as bad as its ever been. The defensive coaching has been abysmal.

Anything else really is a side note. Zeke is clearly no longer a top RB in this league and his contract is the worst in Cowboys history. But that hasn't been the big reason why this team keeps bombing.

The problem with Zeke is not the 4 and 5 yards runs. The problem is the huge lack in 15 and 40 yard runs. The play making. some 5 yard runs should be 30 yarders. Some 15 should be 60 yarders. He simply doesn't have it anymore.

I started off completely against RB at #4 overall. We had just made a brilliant decision on Demarco Murray that showed signs of a franchise turning a corner. We got excellent value from an aging McFadden. Then we blow the fourth round pick and I am pissed. Then I watched Zeke play his rookie year and I have to admit I was convinced. I felt like a case could be made that he was the best football player in the entire NFL. I was back on board. 5 years of this at a reasonable rate seemed like good value from the 4th overall pick. Next 2 years also pretty damn good. Then we go and ruin the whole thing by making him the highest paid RB in the NFL 2 years before we had to and he has basically packed it in. Any one who thinks he is anywhere close to the player he was as a rookie has forgotten that season all together. Just another horrible value player on an average football team.

Lawrence IMHO has been pretty good after a slow start.

I don’t think you read the original post. Just read it if you’re going to comment on it. You’re assuming off the title thread.

He got the ball 21 times and only got 86 yards. Are you suggesting he should get 36 carries per game?
