On a side note, Id like to thank myself for having the balls and blind homerism to draft Zeke in round 1 on my fantasy team.

Was not in favor of drafting him and was even more disappointed Morris didn't start season as starter till Zeke earned it.

Zeke is clearly earning the praise and earning the spot as our best back. I love how he is running and the Dak/Zeke combo is taking away some of the staleness I have been feeling with this team. I haven't wanted to vomit at first site of Garrett the last two weeks and it because of the newbies.

The next test will be the ultimate one in a young season thus far. Looking forward to it.

Side note: hate that Bowman may have torn achilles. Such a great player. Praying for quick recovery for him.

He was really excellent today. The scary part is I think he's running a little stiff. But he has this great ability to dig out tough yardages and find the tiniest of running lanes. Glad we kept him at 23 carries today. I also thought Morris ran hard the second time around.

FTR: I think he's a good player, probably a very good player and clearly a plus to the offense. He had 3 really good 25ish yard runs in the second half. It just that on those runs, I think Tony Dorsett would have been handing the ball to the referee. Zeke is the highest draft pick we've had in 25 years. The expectations should be really, really high. And it worries me somewhat that I haven't seen the home run ability - yet.
Different skill sets. Dorsett was maybe faster but did not have the physicality, cutting ability, nor vision that Zeke has. He showed all those aspects in spades so far this year (especially todayWho knows if Dorsett would have even been in the position to take it to the house? Zeke could take a carry with nothing there and turn in into a 3 yard gain. In my opinion will be the undisputed best RB in football next year.

Back in TD's day, defenses were way, way, WAY slower than what they are today.

Really, it wasn't until Jimmy Johnson came to the pros that we began to see the defensive team speed we have come to expect out of NFL defenses.

Elliott would have broken off plenty of long runs against those old defenses.

As it is he leads the league in yards and 20 yard runs.

its amazing us fans can see we run better when we spread them out but they rarely do it.

Yeah, that would have been the play at the endzone at the end of the game instead of goal line formation IMO

Zeke is still getting used to zone blocking. That is why we saw the slow start. Not enough preseason reps.

Think about that folks. Think.

Did you see Dorsett play? Look, I supported taking EE at #4, but his vision and cutting abilities WERE NOT better than Dorsett - no shape, form of fashion.

And we need to be careful about our assessment of Zeke. Yes, he's performing very well, but let's not devalue other Cowboy legends in the process.

Dorsett's cutting ability and vision were otherworldly. And because he had the speed, he could take it to the house from 80 and 99 yards.

The holes that Zeke got, Dorsett would have exploited them to the end zone. He (Dorsett) was THAT great.

I am here to officially eat my plate of Crow ala Zeke. I was abjectly against the pick when it was made, and thought we would pay for it for the next four years.

Instead, for the next five plus years we are going to have the best all-purpose back in the league, and even if Ramsey is a player (I think he is), Zeke is a Cowboy and there is no way I would have it any other way.

I apologize to the supporters of the Zeke pick that I gave "likes" to your detractors. I handed out several hundred, conservatively, as at the time I was too chicken **** to actually post on this board, so my voice was my "like."

With the consistency of Mo, and Byron balling, Ramsey isn't as much of a necessity as it seemed he would be before the draft.

Zeke is life. I'm on the wagon, please make room for my tush.

No need to apologize or explain, though I'm glad you did.
Some people around here expect you to be infallible with your (I speak in general not to you specifically) with your predictions. And when you're not right, they want to hound you.

I've made good predictions and I've made bad ones. So what. I never claim to be an expert - and even they get it wrong.

Now here's the comparions:

Jalen Ramsey and Kenneth Dixon (a player many posters thought we should pick in the lower rounds)

or

Zeke Elliott and Anthony Brown?

I'm taking the second option and never looking back (but again, this is with the caveat of Mo's dominance this season -- and his emergence, really, starting last season). Brown has been a player. We done good, Tyke!

I am never above admitting my faults. I even had to admit one to @Joe Realist the other day <shudders> :)
