FEATURED FA agent thread

I guess we'll be able to figure it out by what else they do at safety and linebacker in free agency.

If they don't get any more safeties in free agency, then I assume that they're OK with Neal at SS and Wilson at FS if necessary.

If they don't get any more linebackers, then I assume that they're looking at Neal at WLB, LVE at MLB and Smith at SLB.

Man....people will sleep but that's not a bad unit at all. Its certainly better than what the Commanders and Eagles have.

Its going to come down to Daniel Jones. If he plays at least like a top 15 QB....Giants will be the most balanced team in the NFC East.

And Garrett. If he doesn't scheme his players open at times, they'll still struggle against good defenses even if Jones plays like a top 15 quarterback.

I didn't watch the Giants against any other team, but it seemed that Garrett was at least a bit more creative than usual against us last year.

they will play a lot of the scheme that garrett played when he was in dallas lotof two tight ends and run the ball conservative ball

This is true and I Didn't see much of them either. Probably about 3 games. Very hard to gauge them with the personnel they had out there. Giants did what they were suppose to do this offseason. That's a formidable personnel offense.

Yeah, they had one of the worst offenses in the league last year and used free agency to try to fix that. What a novel concept.

Yeah it is isn't it lol? I will say though coming off a injury...I thought Golladay was going to sign a 1 year deal but even he can't turn that type of money down. But when you're desperate you have to overpay for what you want.

Yeah, I don’t like it, as in I actually agree with you. That’s 3 Pro Bowl players at the skill positions. The only caveat I would add is they could be dangerous if Engram actually holds onto the ball, he literally lost at least a couple games for them single handily. Their offensive line also needs to improve drastically, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them pick Slater if he’s still there and then they will be very formidable on offense.

Remember they have Garrett so they don’t need elite players with his unstoppable schemes, lol.
Dez did thrive under Garrett though and Galloday is a big X type of receiver that they’ve been lacking since Plaxico shot himself in the leg and potentially cost them winning back to back SB’s.

Yeah I thought Giants would take receiver but what they've done now is allowed themselves to free up that top pick on another need.

Engram is a weird guy to me. Garrett does not use him well at all and he still contributes....then they go out and sign Rudolph.....he's not nearly as dominant as I initially thought he would be but it doesn't matter now. He's no longer the best weapon they have. They can kill you with so many players and so many ways. Sherperd in the slot, Golladay as a possession guy......Slayton as a deep ball threat....they don't really have any speedsters but those are some nice weapons. Let's see how good that defense is or if last year was a fluke....but one thing is for sure is that on paper they look balanced as all hell and nobody in the NFC East can say that. They don't have the best offense or the best defense.....but they probably have the 2nd best offense and the 2nd best defense.
