FEATURED FA agent thread

What’s the best way to support your 2nd round QB? Bring back the QB that won you the only SB in franchise history and have the fans screaming for him when your young QB struggles.

LOL.
They are really running that organization poorly. They never came across as this poorly ran but man these last few years since the Super Bowl seem to be brutal.

Yeah I thought Giants would take receiver but what they've done now is allowed themselves to free up that top pick on another need.

Engram is a weird guy to me. Garrett does not use him well at all and he still contributes....then they go out and sign Rudolph.....he's not nearly as dominant as I initially thought he would be but it doesn't matter now. He's no longer the best weapon they have. They can kill you with so many players and so many ways. Sherperd in the slot, Golladay as a possession guy......Slayton as a deep ball threat....they don't really have any speedsters but those are some nice weapons. Let's see how good that defense is or if last year was a fluke....but one thing is for sure is that on paper they look balanced as all hell and nobody in the NFC East can say that. They don't have the best offense or the best defense.....but they probably have the 2nd best offense and the 2nd best defense.
Slayton is pretty fast but they added John Ross who is an absolute burner IF he can stay healthy which he hasn’t been able to do.

And it would be admitting mistake. Which they hate doing.
Its crazy though they do it when they want to. They had no issue letting Griffen, Poe and Worley go knowing doing so would basically make them look inept. They cut Taco rather early too.

With Jaylon its clearly personal. Its the gift and the curse of running your franchise like a family. Jaylon is family to them. Or so it seems based on how they speak of him.

I forgot they had John Ross. Yeah he's definitely a burner. Add some much needed speed but I'm not taking him off the field for none of those other 3 guys. I guess when they go 4 wide that's when things could get interesting. I'm guessing at BEST he probably has a Tavon Austin type role for them.

I’m receiving word that the Cowboys are telling prospective free agents to slice their Achilles in half if they’re serious about signing with the team.

You’re absolutely right about the draft as well. As I stated in the thread I started in the main forum, this signing does open a lot for them. I’m guessing they’ll go Slater if he’s still there or maybe CB but they also have Adoree Jackson coming in tomorrow. I have no idea how they would afford him and Golladay but if they pair up Adoree with Bradberry then they will have one of the top CB duo’s in the league.

If somehow they got Adoree and Slater wasn’t there, maybe they go Parsons or WR. Their O line is our biggest hope, it’s still a dumpster fire and they lost one their most consistent O lineman in Zeitler.

Also noTomlinson but they have some pretty good depth there. The WR’s, Jones, and Barkley will be minimized without an O line (of course Barkley had a phenomenal rookie season behind a worse O line and no weapons around him so who knows how he’ll be after the injury).

But anyways, yeah, they’re definitely not married to a WR in the draft now even if one of them is still there. And jesus, if they get one of the big 3 AND Holladay...they could have have a very, very good offense but I still think their O line will be their downfall if they don’t address it even more.

They need a legit pass rusher in a bad way and lucky for us there isn’t one where they pick I think is that worthy unless they take a chance with Rousseau which is one hell of a gamble.

If we sign Neal, I would like for us to get a couple of linebackers in the middle rounds to hopefully have someone who can take over for Jaylon next year, when cutting him would be in our best interest capwise. However, cutting him before we have anyone to replace him is a bad way of building a team.
I wouldn't cut him even next year unless they need the cap room. I'm not as down on Jaylon as some and used properly I think he can help contribute in a very positive way.

Yeah gotta fix the offensive line....I didn't realize they picked after us.....at 11 they should find someone......

They’ll definitely have a chance to address a need, I just hope they don’t get a chance a Slater or Sewell. Pretty sure Sewell will be gone but Slater is moving up fast.

With Slater and the tackle they got last year.....nice way to shore up that offensive line.

Was just telling my Giants fan co worker that Golloday will make life so much easier because Slayton wont be asked to be a #1 and Shepard wont be asked to be a #2. That could mean a world of difference for Jones. Cooper/Diggs Effect
It should. You dropped everyone down to where they are suppose to be sure. Sheperd is a decent #2 but he's a GREAT #3.

I like Golloday.....I don't know if he's as good as Coop and Diggs to have that impact but they sure paid him like he is.

Maybe, their tackle was the worst of the main 4 to go in the draft. He started off horribly but got better, it remains to be seen how he’ll develop, I’m guessing he’ll be ok. We won’t be lucky enough to have another Erek Flowers out there.

They still have major problems at almost every other spot on the O line other than LT and center. Slater will definitely be major upgrade but I have a feeling their O line will still be a very big liability.

If Quinn had the ***** to tell Jerry that he doesn't want Smith instead of trying to pump sunshine just to get hired....and then Jerry actually listens...I'd have a new level of respect for both.

No chance

Didn't he grade out as the highest offensive linemen in the draft last year?

Yeah that's a bit unfair to Quinn. Has nothing to do with balls. He's trying to get hired and if he wants to get hired there's absolutely no way you crap on personnel.

Quinn probably got his job saying he can fix LVE and Jaylon for all we know and that's probably what got him the job.
