I think they keep Spillman and let Harris go.

Harris really went backwards on his KRs, almost literally. He would run 5 yds and then head for the sidelines. He is good on other coverage teams, but we no big plays on returns.

I would love to get a WR5/KR that can fly.

Spillman was really solid on STs and should be real cheap

LM...solid overall.

- Not sure what to make of Murray. They seem to be working on bringing him back. The question is whether a deal reasonable for both sides can be reached.

- Regarding right tackle...I'd like to see them first take a look at Joseph Barksdale if he hits the market, and it's been speculated he will.

- Hayden could be back for 3 reasons: he's seemingly a Marinelli favorite...effort...and he'll come cheap. That said, I'd go a different direction. Think Brent has a good chance to start next year (and was given a short extension). Perhaps free agency yields a versatile DT like Paea or Odrick. They seemingly also like Bishop. Then there's the draft.

You pretty much nailed most of what I'd like to see happen. I've been saying for quite a while (inc. during the season), that I'd look to bring back Carter & Durant at LB, and likely let R. McClain walk.

Harris could be gone. But yes, he is truly a special teams ace. There are few of those in the league.

And for those saying he gave us nothing in the return game; it is true he wasn't as good as in 2013, but he was tied for 9th (with Jacoby Jones) in punt return average. He also had a TD called back
He was also 13th in the league in Kick Return average. This was also a step back from last year, but still better than most.

There were only two players in the NFL that ended up in the top 13 in both PR and KR--Adam Jones and Dwayne Harris.

And yes, he's also very good in coverage....which would set him apart even further.

After all of that, I do agree that he might be gone. Someone will grab him quickly if he is.

I think they keep Spillman, another very good special teams player who actually saw some defensive snaps and shouldn't break the bank. Hayden may be a JAG, but he seems to be Rod's JAG. I think there's a 100% chance that they sign an experienced RT in the FA period, and just a hunch but I think their guy is Free. Dez gets signed long term somewhere near the drop dead date after he receives a franchise tag.

I agree with the exceptions of Murray and Hayden. Hayden can be easily upgraded from Free Agency or the draft. I think the Cowboys will sign Murray to something like a four year $24 million deal. They can create plenty of cap space to sign Him and Romos shelf life is nearing the end. It is time for a Win now philosophy.

I do not think they will let Murray walk unless they have a definite plan B in place. I don't think they have a plan B. They will not just go "pot luck" at running back. I just don't see it happening.

Hayden has 4 tackles in 2 playoff games. Rookie Ken Bishop had 5 in 1 playoff game.

that doesn't mean he's better. Melton had 5 sacks and Crawford had 3. Bishop also gives up huge gapping holes… He has potential but if he was better he would have been starting or playing more throughout the season :)

I saw a report about a week ago that the injury to Free's foot was much more serious than most fans were aware of. The staff will have a crucial decision to make regarding whether to retain Free or Parnell. Perhaps much may depend upon how well Free is able to overcome his foot injury and heal satisfactorily.

I don't want Hayden or Harris back at all. Harris absolutely sucked on returns. We need a guy to help out back there not fumble or get4 yards.

I don't know. I guess I just feel as if Harris is much more important to this team then the large majority of fans. He does a lot of the stuff that goes unnoticed. I think he's a good little player.
