FA /Mock Draft 3/8

FA - significant upgrade at each level instead of Trey Hendrickson

DE and MLB are hardest for rookies to have an impact

DE - Odafe Owey - as an outside LB in this D attacking he can be more effective than he was with the Chargers.
MLB - Devin Lloyd - Size and talent while still young - necessary signing since Styles will not be there at 12.
CB - Alontae Taylor - hybrid nickle slot that play outside. Value pick
S - Jalon Thompson - very solid vet = major upgrade

Draft - using draftek - most realistic for who is available
1-#12 - Dillion Thieneman Safety 6’0 200 4.35 and HIQ

#20 - trade Texans - #28 and #59

1-#28 - Caleb Banks DE 6’6 320 strong side in this odd front. Sam Williams didn’t work out and is a FA.
2#59 - Jacob Rodriguez LB 6’0 230
4 #112 - Jalon Kilgore S hybrid 6’1 210 perfect piece for nickle package.
5 # 150 - Demetrius Crownover OT 6’7 320
5-# 177 Kaleb Elarms Orr - OLB 6’2 234
6#215Kendall Daniels LB 6’5 240
7# 225 Enrique Cruz OT 6’5 1/2 313
not bad at all!!! You got me my LB rodriguez and a trade down

I don't think the Texans would give up a 1st and 2nd rounder to move down 8 spots in the bottom of the first. It would be more like a 2nd and a 3rd and a late 6th maybe

Overall very nice job. I would like to know who was available at 28 instead of Banks. He's not my favorite choice but isn't a bad one.

So what happens with our $20 million a year DT/DE Osa?
Trade when a team’s DT goes down with an injury or rotate him in the line up. It’s been out there that he does not fit this defense as an average penetrating 3DT

We are moving to a 3-4 base defense. Osa is projected to be a DE in the 3-4 formation; he is not going anywhere.
It's already been in noted that they want to trade him (insiders/media/public trade for Crosby). Not a big deal...
