I'd be surprised if BP hasn't gone through these players' 2005 performances several times already. I'm sure highlights of these guys are being scrutinized.

It's just so obvious what the main problems on the 2005 Cowboys were,

1. Kicker
2. OL
3. FS
4. Better and more depth at LB

And I still think we need a big NT to complement Glover.

OL Stocker McDougle 6 UFA- We should pass on this guy.

OT L.J. Shelton 7 UFA...please no.
OT Ephraim Salaam 8 UFA...be very surprised if the Jags let him go. Decent option
OL Stocker McDougle 6 UFA...please no.
OT Scott Gragg 11 UFA...please no.

OT Tom Ashworth 3 UFA
...not a bad option at all, but Pats can afford to resign him.
C/G LeCharles Bentley 4 UFA...The Saints won't lose him despite the wishes of many.
OT Jon Runyan 10 UFA...I have always like him. Tough, heady player.
OT Rex Tucker 6 UFA...Not impressed really. Rams line under achieved.

C Andy McCollum 11 UFA
...See above and add the fact he's 35. NO!!!!
OT Todd Steussie 12 UFA...please no.
C Trey Teague 6 UFA...did he and Bledsoe have trouble with the exchange?
C Seth McKinney 4 UFA...decent option. Doubt the Phins let him go.
G Terrence Metcalf 4 UFA...I'd like this if the Bears don't hang on to him. Again doubt they let him go.
C Mike Flanagan 8 UFA...of your centers, this is probably the one guy who could be available.
G Toniu Fonoti 3 UFA...what is the fascination with this guy?
G Steve Hutchinson 5 UFA...teams do not let go of starting O-linemen not into their 30's yet.

You are dead on sir, except the Glover thing. We need a big strong NT to replace Ferguson, he's not good enough for a dominant 3-4 scheme, and Glover should be traded immediately for a draft pick/picks...

It is going to cost a TON of money to fix this O-Line.

We could make an argument for having the need to upgrade every position on he line, with the exception of LT, AND our depth...uh, not to mention the line coaching.

This line is a complete mess. LT - injuries LG - slow/old C - not very strong RG - injuries RT - not good.

and ya know, this ain't the good old days where you could toss a minimal salary and get a decent lineman...

the other thing is, we can't have a good line with Bledsoe under center....we need a VERY good line...one break down, on any give play, and he's toast...so every lineman has to do his job because Bledsoe can't avoid even one guy rushing him.

It's a big task at hand...

We'll see....

Runyan is another 30 something that everyone is so against having here. I like Metcalf, buit wager he stays put. Fonoti is another Somoan or Hawaiian or whatever....pretty good guard that's also pretty strong. I'll probably get slammed for this, but I think Gurode will be an answer at a GUARD position, not center. The guy has the skills and has caught on a little this year...at Guard. Tucker is a ******, but may do ok @ Guard as well if he gets a shot. Johnson will be tested again and again in camp. So will Petitie (sp). I like the guys heart, but he's going to have to stave off some heat again this year to keep starting. I hope his dad was right on here when he spoke of all the injuries he endured. Maybe next year he'll be a bit quicker and stronger. Good luck to him. I think Allen probably has played his last games as a Cowboy and rightly so. I wsn't impressed with the effort this season...at all.

Ferguson isn't going anywhere while Parcells is here. He didn't play great, but I think we should at least give him another season before we call for his head. Besides, we have much more pressing needs than to take a cap hit on either cutting/trading Ferguson and replacing him with another expensive lineman.

I'm all for keeping Glover and Ellis for another season. If one of our young guys goes down with an injury, they'll be extremely vital for continued success.

Yeah, don't we really need a guard too? I doubt we can afford to keep Allen after this year, so let's trade him and get some value from him while we still can.

I think it's a great idea....I think if a team is truly rebuilding, guys at the stage of their career like Allen, should be traded... instead, we're signing them...ala Rivera.

The Cowboys weren't truly rebuilding, though.
