I searched for a list of a FA RB's at the end of the year but couldn't find them. I'm certain that JJ is toast after this yr, and good riddance, I say.

Break it down for me, people. Tanks.

RB T.J. Duckett UFA Detroit Lions
RB Justin Fargas UFA Oakland Raiders
RB Derek Farmer RFA San Diego Chargers
FB Justin Green RFA Baltimore Ravens
FB Boomer Grigsby RFA Kansas City Chiefs
RB Noah Herron RFA Green Bay Packers

Bless you. Live long and prosper....etc.

Now I've got to get busy finding a new RB for Barber to play second fiddle to next yr.

i think we could do without all those guys except Romo, Crayton, Ratliff, and possibly Reeves

And Davis unless he gets another crazy offer from NO.

RB Michael Turner UFA San Diego Chargers

This is the only name you need to know, PosterChild... ;)

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of using our two #1's on either a Tackle, S, WR, or CB, and try to get micheal turner for RB.

It just makes the most sense to me.

The money Tackles and CB's are getting in this league as FA's is mind boggling. Why not pick them up in the draft and pick up a RB like turner in FA.

Maybe its only me who thinks this, but Bowen seems to be showing something. It just seems like he's often in the mix of good defensive plays.

Frankly, I surprised how often he is in the picture during telecasts...

The Cowboys could survive losing him, of course, but it'd be nice if he'd stuck around.

Because he will probably be franchised?
No way will Michael Turner be franchised. If they franchise him, they will have to pay him the average salary of the Top 5 RB salaries in the NFL. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Why do that if he's not even the lead back on your team and there is really no chance of him ever being that barring injury?

If we want to give up both 1st round picks :D

I thought he wasn't restricted? They aren't going to franchise their 2nd RB. I think that unless we've got a shot at one of the elite backs coming out, we will sign Turner. Jerry might sign him just so we can use the first two picks on CB/WR or maybe OL/CB

I'm also pretty sure we'll resign Reeves after this year, now he's actually got experience so he's got some value because even if we draft a CB, the best he'll be next season is our 3rd corner, but probably the 4th. We've all seen how difficult it if for Jerry to put rookies on the field as starters.

I can't see Chargers franchising Turner, noway they are going to fork over that much of money to a backup RB. Derrick Ward isn't too bad of RB either.

... as a backup to Barber maybe. I think the Giants will resign him though, they are probably more likely to let Ruben Droughns go and draft a new 3rd RB.

I'll take Turner from San Diego and keep all our draft picks to concentrate on CB and WR. :D

I would think that a back as coveted as he appears to be, San Diego might franchise just to have the option to negotiate a contract or find a trade partner, especially in this poor free agent runningback group. Or maybe he's not that good and they'll just let him walk....

I wouldn't mind Mewelde Moore as a backup to Barber and punt return guy.

Of course, by the time the draft is over, he may be placed in the same situation he's in now - buried behind 2 good backs.
