If Jason Campbell can go for 340, Favre should get at least 600.......

Just doesn't work that way.

He threw it 54 times... big deal

How did you calculate YPC? I thought that was just Total Yards / completions. Wouldn't that have been 348 / 33 = 10.545 yards per completion?

Argh, I was doing YPA.

His YPC was 10.55 yesterday. It was 11.12 going into the game -- and again, that was even without Moss for all or most of four games.

Then that's pretty surprising. I figured that Campbell would have had a lower YPC coming in since all I saw him previously do is just dink and dunk.

I've got news for you. Brett Favre has never won in this building. Ever. Including their 1996 Super Bowl season. He even lost a game where Aikman, Smith, Irvin and Larry Allen were all out in 1999.

So the secondary has issues. If memory serves correctly, the 90's Cowboys served up some major league stinkers on the march to glory as well.

This team seems to find a way to win more than its fair share, which is a quality far more to be prized than statistical perfection and style points.

It's too bad that the Pats' bandwagon has got so many people wishing this team was even better than it is. This is the first season this team has actually started living up to its potential. Let the coaches deal with the problem and we'll see what gets trotted out against the Jets, who'll now be fairly full of themselves after beating the Steelers.

The secondary wasn't as bad as the pass rush. We only got 1 sack on 54 sack attempts. Aside from Ware, who was jumping Campbell's snap cadence, nobody was getting pressure consistantly and they have a wrecked offensive line.

awful is a big stretch. the secondary is not that bad at all. tnew is a top cb. reeves is certainly serviceable, as is henry. hamlin is doing pretty well. roy has the range but gets turned around by shifty tight ends.

well we pretty much gave them all those short passes over the middle yesterday. the pass rush stopped in order to contain campbell and make him throw. nobody got beat deep. the linebackers did a pretty good job covering the backs. there's no way a reasonable person can watch that game and still think campbell is a dog. he was accurate on all but a handful of throws.

Campbell does have a low YPC (Washington ranks 20th as a team), but 10.55 YPC is even lower than usual. Only six teams are worse than that for the season.
