Looking back at past memorable Vikings stadium moments

Dec. 29, 1975 — After posting an NFL-best 12-2 record in the regular season, the Vikings were upset 17-14 at home in the playoffs by Dallas on a last-second 50-yard touchdown pass from Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson. Pearson landed out of bounds, but the officials ruled he would've been in without midair contact by Nate Wright. The Vikings believed Pearson actually pushed off on Wright for leverage. The play became known as the first "Hail Mary" pass, because of Staubach's claim to have uttered a desperate prayer before the throw.

The writer is conflating two different plays. The 4th down catch prior to the Hail Mary was the sideline catch by Drew that had some controversy around it. As in whether he caught it in bounds. Blah blah. Their fan folklore now has that as all one play. Of course, Drew pushed off and should've been flagged as well on that Hail Mary catch. Vikings fans can never let that stuff go. Bitterness rooted in lack of Lombardi trophies. Lol.

Lol yea I know what u mean, they also don't get what I'll call "internet humor". In general they have the hardest time reading sarcasm lol

My grandmother doesn't understand the difference between her unlock code for her phone, and an email password... don't even get me started on DVR. I swear she thinks magic is real

To be fair, in text form sarcasm can sometimes be hard to make out just because the language itself sometimes requires qualifying words, since you can't inflect or change your tone in text. We had this problem on the other forum and decided that we'd use purple text for the sarcasm challenged.

You know how, but want the government to do it for you:)
I guess that's a shot at millennial's overwhelming supporting Bernie Sanders? I have a couple things to say to that. 1) millennials don't trust the government more then any other age group 2) supporting sanders is more about torching the system from within the system, why do u think the majority of his supporters haven't gone to Hiliary. Anyway, this probably isn't the place for this discussion, if you'd like to talk more please send me a message

In the video, watch for an orange evidently thrown by some frustrated Vikings fan.

In the still picture above, you can see the orange just below Paul Krause's left knee.

I think its foreshadowing by francis ford coppola

or david chase if you prefer.

Oranges, death is coming.

I'm just having some fun with you. But Bernie never earned a paycheck until he was 40 years old and he spent his honeymoon in the Soviet Union. Just sayin'.
