Lmao! Always complaining about Jerry, yet y'all continue to follow and watch his product every single year. It's like complaining about Walmart products, yet you continue to shop there.

The problem is not Jerry. Stop complaining and simply go follow another team. Go do your shopping elsewhere.
Problem solved.
I agree with you that the complaining gets ridiculous but at the same time don’t shop at Walmart and tell me it’s Gucci

True, but it led to Jerry doing something that Jerry normally wouldn't do if we were middle of the pack those 3 years.

That's what I want to see.
That’s fine . I’m ok with that. Everyone has to do themselves . But my bigger point Jethro is still the biggest obstacle to overcome.

It was for Bill and everyone since . Shoot, remember Jethro doesn’t care. He begun running off the HC who just won him 2 championships .

I respect their opinions. It's the constant and nonstop complaining. Year after year after year...sheesh. Two 12-5 and back-to-back playoff years, yet they can't be positive about this team and franchise?

How about you stop reading the posts if you don't like them? That road goes both ways if you are bright enough to see it. Go bake Dak a cake, that will keep you busy for awhile. Hey, and you can put 12-5 Back to Back on top of the cake in blue letters.

I’ve used this analogy before but it’s like everyone doesn’t support our leadership , direction or policies of our country but we still support and love your country while trying to advocate and lobby for change .

I often have issue with how my Alma Mater runs it’s programs as well and speak out while we still support the program .

That defines diehard fans who continue their support despite the issues they have with the product .

When is the last time you attended a game? Everyone is there supporting their team . Some cheer, some boo.
Yeah, let's BOO back-to-back 12-5 seasons with playoffs involved. Sheesh.

1. Always kind of sorta being in the mix, even if we all know we're not winning anything, won't do it

2. 12-5 and losing before the conference championship game won't do it.

3. Losing in the Wild Card game won't do it.

4. Going 9-8 and being in the mix for a wild card spot won't do it.

The only thing that's going to cause real change is drafting around the top 5 for a few years in a row. Jerry thinks his way of "we like our guys", not trying to make a splash in free agency, or trying to get better via trades is working, because it kinda is, because we're not complete bottom feeders. We're usually in the playoff picture until the end. Most of us know we're not really going to do anything in the playoffs, but as long we're in the mix Jerry thinks we're close. This is a major issue with this organization.

This is why we should just suck it up and hope for complete and utter failure. We should be hoping for last place in the division. We should be hoping for a top 5 draft pick. We're not at the level of the top teams in the NFL because we don't operate in the same ways they do. Just because we make the playoffs every couple of years doesn't mean we're at the same level of the teams we're competing against in the playoffs. We've carved out this spot where we're slightly better than middle of the pack most years. That's good enough to beat an 8-9 team in the Wild Card game, but not good enough to advance further. The difference in us and those teams that are better than us are when things don't work they tear it down and rebuild. We don't do that. We're comfortable being slightly better than the middle.

Jerry thinks he can field a Super Bowl caliber team every year with his guys. He's wrong and we have 30 years of proof. The only thing that going to make Jerry go after that big FA, draft that QB at the top of the 1st round, or make that big trade is complete and utter failure and desperation for his Cowboys to be competitive. He's not been desperate like that for awhile now. Even in the 8-8 Romo years we were always a Week 17 win away from making the playoffs. Desperation to be competitive is the only thing I could see making Jerry do something out of the ordinary.

If there's anything that Jerry hates about being in the spotlight. It's being in the spotlight because of failure. We see how contentious he can get with media when we lose and they question his decisions. He will give these defensive answers when his decisions are questions. It clearly gets to him when he thinks "his way" is not working. This is why, as Cowboys fans, we should just take it on the chin for a few years and hope for complete failure from the organization. I fear that anything less than this will see us every offseason going the business as usual route and doing nothing.
Yep, totally agree.
The 3 consecutive Campo 5-11s and the promise of a multi venue stadium the last time allowed actual culture change and the hiring of the only other non puppet coach not named Johnson and real results took place.

Spare me the disdain for Tuna. The man instilled team accountability, made genuine change and their entire culture has been a hot potato blame game of scapegoating since he left.

This current model is and will continue to be your Dallas Cowboys.
Relevant. To a point.

That point being far shy of consistent championship contention. Get used to it, it ain't changing.

The Joneses do not define failure as a lot of the fans do.

There are fans, believe it or not, that do not see back-to-back 12 win seasons and making the playoffs as failure.
Yep,
And it's THAT mentality or disease or whatever you wanna call it, that is the foundational problem of the team AND it's fanbase.

Post season success is NOT the standard.

It’s not this era with this ownership .

Not sure if fans have all bought it in to it but enough are supportive of this ownership. The rest of us are just along because nothing else we can do about it but complain .

We have some celebrating our first back to back playoff appearance in 15 years. Others are still disappointed with 12 consecutive playoffs without a championship appearance. A NFL record.

AC it’s ok if you disagree, but stop policing people’s opinions. This is an opinion forum, not a country club. As long as people here are following the rules, they are entitled to their opinions. Share why you disagree with their opinion. But stop telling people to go somewhere else just because you don’t like their opinion.
My gosh thank you. He ain't the only opinion regulator. But you already know that.
Thanks for this.

Yeah,
Regular season banners and just making it to the dance has never been my thing.
The absolute worst part of posting here for me are reading posts from those that promote the regular season victories as an accomplishment while also insulting me that I am miserable in my personal life because I criticize that regular season wins standard they hold as unsuccessful.

I've accumulated a decent sized ig list, lol.

I still can’t understand Jerry’s comment that being ”in the middle” is a good place to be

he’s just not right

Why anyone that takes the "we're serious" about winning speech Jerry spills out every year is beyond delusional. You cannot be taken serious when you and Stephen continue to run this team after 25+ years of nothingness and refuse to change or higher a proper GM.

Jerry only cares about one thing and that is being the most profitable sports franchise possible. Being relevant is good enough for him and rolls the dice just enough to hope one day his lottery ticket hits the superbowl.

9-8 or 12-5 regular season means nothing to most fans if we continue to fall short in the playoffs. Regular season is for fantasy football state chasers

You lost any and all credibility with the statement in red. (Not that you really had any remaining credibility at this point anyways with your senior disciple status at the Dak davidian compound)

But if you can say, with a straight face, that our owner/GM isn't a significant issue, you're literally delusional and your opinions are not worthy of even passing consideration.

Your constant "go follow another team" schtick is ridiculous. Celebrating 3 decades without an NFC CG appearance doesn't make you a better fan. It just makes you a better sycophant. Nothing to brag about

I hate Jerry as much as anyone ...... And I am still pissed at Dak for choking again.

But this thread is depressing and sad as hell.
It is just not a thread that fans of a team make when they literally have back to back 12 win seasons.

Hope that clarifies what is going on here.
