maybe , but I dont see other teams doing it that deep and on 4th and 9
I never said it was a good call to make. Just that it's not stupid that the Cowboys allow players to audible to fakes based on the looks they get.

If a player has the latitude and trust of the staff to fake punt then guidelines need to be in place such as 4th & 9 too far to call an audible. The QB’s in Dallas have a hard enough time completing passes for 10 yds let alone the Punter.

Throwing the player under the bus missed the point . It’s poor coaching .

so i don't know why you guys keep commenting on coaches , IT WAS THOMAS who called it!! ....you don't even keep up with media and real news right after the game, that evening they found out and reported this....
I get that but it doesn't change my point.

It actually does sometimes a player gets a green light whether it's a wide receiver who can go off script they say if you see a certain look if you think you're on the same page you're allowed to run a different route and then sometimes they're not on the same page I've seen it with CD lamb way too many times make the decision but they allow it the coaches gave Thomas to green light they do this during the week at practice if you see this look on film you can change it to a fake and they saw the look this is just part of sports just 'cause it didn't work out well doesn't mean you can come on here and blame the wrong people yes it should change your point that's my point you're blaming the wrong people sometimes please don't workout that would be crazy if they'd have made the play everyone be talking about how great a movie is that's the negative side to calling place especially trick plays or fakes when it doesn't workout there's a whole lot of Flack but when it does workout you're the hero... I think anger needs to work on his passing lol

No, I'm not blaming him for this particular mishap. I'm talking about his inability or unwillingness to block the gunners on punt returns. We have probably the most dangerous PR in the game in Turpin and he can only fair catch when the punts come to him because of that stupid formation he runs. They basically align sideways and chase after the gunner without even touching them. No blocking! Unless they catch them and block them into Turpin. All Turpin needs is a few yards of space and he's dangerous. At first his (Bones) excuse was that we were going for the punt blocks but who knows.

IMO you double the gunners and it's an almost 'gimme' for Turpin to reach mid field, putting us in scoring position with how Aubrey works - it's almost an automatic 3pts. When you add that on top of giving dumb players the green light to do dumb things in the wrong situations, yeah I'm looking right at Bones.

if you look how that play went, it is obvious it was the wrong call at that point in game, and 9yds to go, and on about their own 30.
The fact that the player called it is on the coaches, most mistakes come back to coaching.
