He threw a bad pick, but our play calling after jumping out on top was not good. And we had bad penalties that put Weeden into bad situations he had no prayer of being successful.

While they are a different team this year too, we played them without Dez and Tony. We did go up like 17 points on them at first. Our defense has gotten MUCH better since then. Don't be scared.

True. The defense did not play well to hold what should have been a good start. The Weeden INT seemed to be the critical turning point, but still.

Was it bad playcalling, or was it that Weeden lost all confidence in the downfield game after he threw that pick? I've heard more than one person say that Weeden's reluctance to take any risks that eventually got him replaced.
