Falcons sign HC Bobby Petrino

As I said in the other post, Parcells playing games and taking his time is going to cost us when he tucks his tail and runs like he has always done.

Agenda much?

Atlanta had the time to interview because they weren't burdened by a playoff game.

It's hard to imagine Vick not starting, if he wants to get traded they will pretty much have to. A new team could do him the world of good.

Turn Vick into a WR..

or into a R.Bush type clone with some serious passing skills.........

Did they change the rules that you have to interview a minority candidate? I don't imagine they've had time to do that yet?

Anyone know?

The Falcons are not stuck with Vick. They can elect to sit him, and while many of us wouldn't mind being paid 100 million as a bench warmer, I suspect even Vick would fold under that sort of embarrassment and shame. He'll obviously ask to be traded, and when the Falcons front office reminds him of his salary and the subsequent cap hit they'd suffer as a result, he'll probably elect to take a paycut just to make a trade feasible.

Vick will go to the Raiders and the Raiders will select Calvin Johnson or Teddy Ginn JR

Relax guys...

1. Parcells will be back.

2. WE have no interest in college guys like Patrino.

3. The only college guys we'd hire would be Weiss or Carroll, due to their pro experience, and they aren't coming out this year, if ever.

4. I think most of the pro coaches we'd look at this year are probably still coaching right now.

Most of the guys who would sign right away with the teams looking for coaches aren't guys we'd want anyway, or guys we can't get.

Who cares about idiots who want to coach in Atlanta or Arizona...Pitt is likely to hire from within...just relax.

I still think JJ desperately wants Parcells to come back for one more year because he'd rather spend next season working on guys like Cowher or Jimmy or others like Carroll or keep an eye on some of the current coordinators.

I'm certainly not afraid that we'll miss out on guys like Patrino...

That rule only applies to the Dallas Cowboys. Don't you know how NFL rules work yet? Sheesh.

As for Vick, I see a Raiders uniform in his future.

I think Atlanta interviewed Rivera and/or Singeltary.

Personally I wouldn't want a college coach unless they have some pro experience. This team is poised to win now and needs an experienced NFL leader to get them all the way.

...

FYI, Petrino has pro experience...was QB coach with Jacksonville for 2 or 3 seasons I believe

this guys a good offensive coach...if he isnt forced into the Vick is a QB garbage, he'll do some good there
